They are. They all come into the game and say they have to stop Zeke. Also we run into stacked boxes consistently. You really don’t know anything about football lol

Zeke has taken a while to get going this season (which is his fault for holding out), but he looked good in the second half yesterday. Putting pollard out there would have done nothing.

Tony Pollard!

Our coaching staff did the same thing a few years back keeping the great Troy Hambrick on the bench. His career never recovered because of our stupid coaches.
 
The run game wasn't the issue in this one. A couple deep throws and Zeke's numbers would have skyrocketed. Yes he got stopped on that 3rd and 1, but I pin that one on our backup offensive line not getting a push. Zeke ran well at the end and had some nice receiving routes.

The passing game, on the other hand...

LOL and defenders weren't doing that to Barkley last year....who still shredded defenses.

So glad for those "tough" 3 yard runs from Zeke that lead us to three and outs.

He still ended up with less than 4 YPC and most of his runs came in the second half. Please, it's a myth he was just dominating the game yesterday.

He looked average because that's what he has been for most of this season.

No one said Zeke was dominating. But I’d rather have him out there than Pollard. He’s the defending rushing champ ffs.

Is 1,400 yards on 300+ carries now suddenly a feat in the NFL? Newsflash: About 3-4 RBs last year would have had more yards than Zeke with equal amount of carries, one of them being in our division.

You are the one bringing up "rushing champ", now you want to compare him to a backup RB who wouldn't get significant touches to lead in anything? When you bring up "rushing champ", you automatically get compared to other leading backs in the league.

Nobody is claiming Pollard is better than Zeke. No one.

You are claiming Pollard would have had more success yesterday than Zeke. I disagree.
 
It's hard for coaches to go away from who they view as their best player especially when he struggles. Zeke did better in the passing game with 5 catches for 47 yards on 6 targets.

Zeke is only running against 8+ men in the box on 13% of his carries this year. Stacked boxes is the most over-used excuse for Zeke.

Wrong. I suggested Zeke wasn't exactly dominating yesterday to a point where he ABSOLUTELY needed to stay on the field at such a high rate. I stated on 3 carries, Pollard almost equaled Zeke's longest run on 28 carries. Zeke was doing nothing special, yet we all need to believe he was doing something no other RB can do....just because he's Zeke.

Pollard needs more playing time, we used a 4th round pick on him, coaches have talked him up, he also has a 100 yard game this season himself. Not wanting to have a speedier back on the field who can take it the distance is stupid game planning just because we feel Zeke needs to eat. We lose because we have no creativity. This league has multiple teams get by on a multi back system, there is no need to have Zeke carrying the ball nearly 30 freakin' times.

i didn't see him claim that i think he said when used he did just about the same as zeke. Im paraphrasing. they do need to use pollard more all i heard during the preseason is using him as a WR well when perfect opportunity arose they didn't

The O line has struggled but this coaching staff has no adjustment in them
