Yes. Parcells didn’t think he was ready his first few seasons.
"You got to get the ball out of your hands. You're going to get killed. They be licking their chops. You be like liverwurst on rye, a little pepperoni back here. They say ooohhh we got a little pepperoni back here we can have for lunch"

lol. I miss Parcells

His press conferences should have been a tv series. A whole lot better than about 90% of what is on now.

I loved Romo and I love Dak. They are having similar careers but rabid Romo lovers will tear down Dak to build up Romo. To be fair, it happens the other way around too. They will never forgive Dak for taking Romo's job. They root against Dak so Dak can be seen as a failure like Romo is. That's why you see the Romo hate.

BTW, I loved Romo's episode. He's a good dude. He's not a leader though, and you have to be at the QB position. I think that was the only thing he was lacking. I wished they would've included his last TD he threw. I don't know why they didn't. He came in on that drive and marched them right down the field for an easy TD.
You should have mentioned...the opposite is true as well. The second someone critizes Dak..."But bu bu bu...ROMOOOOOOOOO!" gets screamed from the high heavens.

That last drive....a thing of beauty. How to manage your team to perfection.

The thing about Romo....yes...he screwed up a couple final drives.....but we'd often never BE that close to begin with if it wasn;t for his incredible playing...sometimes without the best players. The epic battle with Manning in Denver is a good example. Toe-to-toe with one of the best. Makes you one of the best.

See my above post.

You can't keep going out there time after time and expect perfection every....single...time.
I never said that I did. I coached football for almost thirty years, believe me, I know that you can't. Many fans pick and choose who they expect perfection from. I call, them haters.

You must have forgot what it was like with Romo. Lol Anyone who watched his career was always holding their breath hoping he didn’t screw it up. He had plenty of screw ups. He was a good QB, but let’s keep it real. And please don’t tell me that Romo never had some good talent around him.
No one said "never".

But he made a lof of average (or worse) WR look good. Patrick Crayton? Roy Williams (big money flop!). Miles Austin LOOKED good. With Romo.

Any quarterback that is not a Hall of Fame caliber QB is going to have issues winning with this franchise.

I don't view Prescott as any worse at that special challenge than Romo was.

Both have choked in big time games.

Both have identical 2-4 playoff records with Prescott playing three fewer seasons.
an Pmannig started his career 3-6 in the playoffs with twice as many INTs then Prescott in the same number of games and finally broke through. But hey keep bringing up stats to fortify your narratives.. TEAM Game team issues not on the QBs alone..

Just to say "they both choked" is way too easy. Do a deeper dive into the plays before "the choke". How many times did Romo have to go back out when defense caved? How did they get into the situation of NEARLY winning in the first place?

So go ahead and take the easy way if you want. It's fine.

I didn't mean to imply that....you're obviously a good fan.

Hadn't really looked at his stats in a while until a few days ago........it's a shame we had a double-digit winning season in only 3 of his 13 years. To bad injuries cut his career short. He was clearly a top QB in his last 3-4 years. I'm 100% convinced if he had avoided injuries, we would have at least played in one Super Bowl. It's it all can together for him during the 2014 season but injuries robbed him.

I still believe if we had gone back to him in Dak's rookie season, we'd have played in the Super Bowl.
