Just because he started for so long does not say alot. And just because he can do a spin move does not mean he is in good shape.
All i need to do is look at his belly and his wobbly legs and butt and i quickly realize he did not alot more then throwing some balls during the offseason.
The first game against the 49ers in 2014 he wasnt even able to move. Pro-Romo arguments were that was because he had still back problems and wasnt able to work out enough. But two weeks later he moved like the old Romo. I dont believe in a miraculous healing over 2 weeks. That was just because he did simply nothing during the offseason to get himself into shape. After the 1 game he admited that he did not do enough. How come he could not do enough the whole off season because of his bad back but after one game where it clearly showed he was out of shape he suddenly could get into shape in 2 weeks ? Sorry, i myself was a semi professional in sports and i am not naive. This was not because of his back. He just does not prepares right and i do think because he never did he does not even have the feeling how to do it right. Sure he plays some basketball or some golf in his spare time. But i am not talking about a hobby i am talking about serious workouts to get a professional athlete into shape.
He was able to get thru it without good preparation when he was younger. But now it shows that he ignored workouts throughout his career. I cant even watch him run. He lacks strength in his trunc musculature. Every track&field trainer will tell you that. His upper body isnt able to hold up tension when he is trying to run forward. And it look rediculous when he tries to. His legs are wobbly and arent able to hold up. This does not happen to a guy who regularily does sprint workouts or is in good shape. Look at brees and how he moves. Also 30 lbs less of body fat would help Romo alot.
Sure Romo is elusive in his spin move where he has not to move with his feet. He has a good feel for how to set it up and when to spin. After that he is even able to take a quick sidestep but dont ever force him to run. Wobble wobble wobble ....
I am fed up with a guy who needs 4-5 games to finally get into a shape that he could have had if he did a serious approach in the offseason. It cost us games this year and it cost us games the years before. I am ok with that if it was my third string QB warming the bench. But not my franchise QB whom i am paying 27 mills this year (before restruture). I demand a bit more from him.
