Tony Romo calls to many audibles

I like tony being involved more but what is the sense of running the no huddle if your gonna audible every time and snap the ball with 1-5 secs on the clock? We had them off balance and confused and we audibled until they took a time out. Following that we attempt a 2 yard pass on 3 rd and ten? Romo is obsessed with audibles and dink and dunk on 3rd and 9/10 yard plays. Not good. It's ugly to watch.

I agree, once again we were back to snapping it with 2 seconds on the clock the whole day. Get them lined up and run the offense.

Romo has been doing that for years and the one second left on the play clock issue has bugged me for a while.

Fact is that the Chiefs have a legit defense with a great pass rush and the Cowboys, whether Romo or someone else, were telegraphing their plays. You have to keep defenses honest...especially aggressive defenses like the Chiefs.

Been saying it for years.

We're just tapping the breaks on ourselves.

Dallas came to play today. Our system just showed it flaws.

We absolutely sliced them up with Dez, but all of a sudden in the second half, we stop going to Dez besides the one throw he dropped. Doesn't make sense to me. I agree there are too many audibles, and for what? a 2 yard throw? One of the reason we get all these penalties in critical situations is Romo waits too long to snap the ball.

I'm not sure whose fault it is, but these 3 yard pass plays on 3rd and 10 just have to stop. We rarely take downfield shots, and when we do, it's either dropped or off. The offense is just out of sync. The 2 yard pass attempt to Witten on that last 3rd down we had was just unforgivable.

Also, why don't our receivers (outside of Dez) ever get open? Witten is always draped with defenders, and Miles just seems to disappear...

I think we have one of the most pathetic unimaginative cant think out of the box offenses in the NFL when you consider the talent this available on offense. With all sincerity, a Quincy Carter, Antonio Bryant, Hambrick offense could compete with this offense. Let that sink in for a minute.

Calling audibles doesn't seem to be a Romo strength.

So you take the option away from him or you live with it. That lateral crap play was awful.

Romo is either overthinking and trying to be too smart or is just lacking enough in the football intelligence area to have that much control over the offense.

I think he has the intelligence, I'm just not sure who has complete control of the play calling. 2 yard drags and outs on 3rd and 9 are laughable. On 3rd and nine I like a 10 yd pass.

I personally think it's something he's just not good at. So don't let him.

I don't want to bag on the guy but it's obvious he struggles with it.

if your going to audible because there are too many men in the box then call a pass longer than 3-5 yards. Calling an audible for a 1-2 yard pass - well you prbably could have gotten 1-2 yards with the original play

I always thought that Romo hiking ball under 5 seconds was garretts doing. Now I know that wasn't the case. My fantasy team might also lose...Uggh!

I especially love when they go no huddle and snap it with one second..........why not huddle up and run the play

This offense is a total wreck. Romo has looked like he's hurt so far this year.

No one can say that Garret is holding romo back any longer. Callahan is calling the plays now. They even said romo will have more input into game plans and playcalling during the week. Romo also has authority to audible in game and he does so pretty frequently. Jerry even said romo is like a coach on the field. Romo appears to have at least an equal amount of authority and freedom as any QB in the NFL right now.
