Should be fun...sad at the same time. I loved cheering for him and watching his magic...sad that he never got over the divisional round.
To be fair, the Team has not gotten over the divisional round since 1996...
I think it was sadder for fans than it was Romo who was paid handsomely having quite a career over achieving for a undrafted QB. He was only sad when he wasn’t provided the opportunity to play.Yes for sure but all of the best teams we had during the time since then had r omo at the helm...except 2016.
Not blaming r omo in any way but saying it was sad to see a player that good never get to at least a nfc championship game
Handsomely is a understatement. 127 million is sweet for a undrafted player. Not sure if there is another undrafted player ever to get paid that much.I think it was sadder for fans than it was Romo who was paid handsomely having quite a career over achieving for a undrafted QB. I am sure Romo and Witten and Ware wanted it bad when they played together.I don't know....once you make a certain amount of money then other things you can't purchase become more important....i also think Romo regrets not leading the team to a championship because of the guys around him too....he might feel like he let them down too. ..pure speculation
A shame. 1 or 2 plays away from breaking through and possibly making it to the SB. That murray fumble and Dez rip off no catch in the packers game was the year.

First half of that game I was starting to believe. Then everything just went wrong. I blame the staff.Hurts to think about. We were there.

I am excited! This could be amazing
Of course they did. They were great players, albeit not in Cowboys postseason. They were great citizens off the field too. I give them props. Those three did not tarnish The Star.I am sure
Sure, but regrets and disappointment doesn’t = sadness.I don't know....once you make a certain amount of money then other things you can't purchase become more important....i also think Romo regrets not leading the team to a championship because of the guys around him too....he might feel like he let them down too. ..pure speculation
I’m not sure what undrafted Hall Of Famers Kurt Warner and Warren Moon we’re paid but I’d assume near the top of their profession at the time as was Romo.Handsomely is a understatement. 127 million is sweet for a undrafted player. Not anywhere close, unless you’re adjusting for inflation (and probably not even then). Warner’s career earnings weren’t even bigger than Romo’s first contract extension back in 2007.I’m not sure what undrafted Hall Of Famers Kurt Warner and Warren Moon we’re paid but I’d assume near the top of their profession at the time as was Romo.
Yes . That was my intention. “ top of their profession”. Inflation is applicable. Not anywhere close, unless you’re adjusting for inflation (and probably not even then). Warner’s career earnings weren’t even bigger than Romo’s first contract extension back in 2007.
Romo will probably be the top one for a good long while until another undrafted QB comes out of nowhere and then plays well enough to string together a couple of contracts. Undrafted guys at other positions aren’t nearly as big of a unicorn, but they don’t make QB money.
