Is it me or does he sound more and more like Garrett every day?

Romo has been in the spotlight a lot more frequently. I wonder if it's a deliberate attempt on his part/his agents part to get himself out there for post football opportunities. I would picture Romo as a coaching candidate before TV personality, but it never hurts to maximize your future opportunities.

I think Romo would be really good at either one. When he actually lets his guard down and starts REALLY discussing football, you can tell he has a wealth of knowledge and does a nice job of explaining it.

I agree. His personality really shines through when he does interviews outside of the post game pressers. I just think he would go into coaching 1st to stay around the game. His love for football is evident and I could see him on the Cowboys staff very soon after retiring. Same for Sean Lee.

Also, does anyone know if going into coaching stops the clock on hall of fame eligibility?

The answer is no if he is nominated for his career as a player only. Per the Pro Football Hall of Fame site
Any fan may nominate any qualified person who has been connected with pro football in any capacity simply by writing to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. The only restriction is that a player and coach must have last played or coached at least five seasons before he can be considered. For example, a candidate for the 2015 class must have concluded his career not later than the 2009 season.

I think this before coaching. I really doubt he would want to put in the kind of hours an nfl coach has to put in..esp with two young boys. Candace probably wouldnt let him

the hours of a typical NFL coach are beyond horrendous. Candace would put her foot down without doubt.

Love the Video and I'm a big supporter of Romo. I'm constantly having to defend him to Co-workers and friends that like to trash talk as I live in Saints country. I agree, Romo does deserve a ring along with Witten and if he was still here I would have said Ware too.
I believe, after football, Romo is more likely to continue his sports greatness via Golf. He is a great competitor and even better golfer. He's desire to compete will force him into the Golf world where he might actually receive the "positive" attention he deserves as well.
Mind you, this won't stop him from making cameo appearances on TV show and movies also. When it's all said and done. We will miss Romo greatly on the football field, but we'll have plenty of chances to follow him through other celebrity outlets. And I personally won't discount the possibility of a political future down the road for this charismatic player.

If his back can hold up after another 3 or 4 years of playing QB.
