I'm sure that's part of it, but the facts are, he threw 2 picks (and nearly a 3rd) with the game on the line in the 4th. He undid a lot of the good things he did yesterday with those picks. To say nothing of his audibles.

That's who he is. He'll make great plays, and often undermine himself with questionable 2nd half decisions.

Right but in the grand scheme of things, he's the best thing we've got going for us. The Cowboys aren't an embarrassment to their history because of Tony Romo. Even despite the untimely picks yesterday.

....because he's saddled with the worst owner/GM in sports who doesn't have a clue how to provide his franchise QB the supporting cast he needs, including an empowered coaching staff put in a position to succeed.

Romo is going to make some bad plays, and he's going to throw picks. Even at really inopportune times. You know who else does that? Every QB in the league. The difference with Romo is, he doesn't have a defense who can EVER bail him out of mistakes. I'm not absolving Romo of blame yesterday, because he definitely deserves it - but when GB got the ball after the Shields pick, and had half a field to go and HAD to get a TD - was there ANY doubt that they were about to march down and score a TD? That's the problem. The defense is so porous that everyone in that stadium knows that they can't make a stop to save their lives. Romo HAS to be perfect, because if he's not, they lose. One mistake and the game is over, because there's not a single person on this defense who can bail him out of mistakes.

If you replace Romo with a Tom Brady and keep the same defense - Dallas is 7-7. MAYBE 8-6.

If you replace the defense with a semi-decent defense (top 10-15), and keep Romo - Dallas is 10-4, at least.

No, he is not the best thing we have going for us, not even remotely close. The best thing we have going for us is Dez, Frederick, Tyron, Murray, and Selvie. Hopefully these guys don't get brought down by the culture here or the veterans and their losing ways.

...Because we are saddled with the worst owner/GM in sports who is as obsessed with Romo and made ANOTHER massive mistake by over paying for a player who clearly didn't deserve it instead of trading him and rebuilding the team the right way.(focusing on the trenches). A GM that does nothing more than kick the can down the road year after year and has set this team back DECADES instead of taking it on the chin and having a few bad years why we rebuild. (Think SF).
