This kid is ready - he's got a big arm and he's got guts - plus he can move . He's done his time on the bench and now he'll show cowboyszone that Tony Romo is your Huckleberry ...

NOW - just b/c he wins the job in the Nation's eyes does not mean Bill P will acknowledge it.

Mark it down 8/8/06

I agree with you 100% that he will win the job!!

The job of being Drew Bledsoe's backup and the #2 QB on the Roster.

He has earned that without question!!!

Another favorite of mine is the hindsight draft threads. "I wanted to draft XXXX that year"

You ever notice the guy they would have drafted just happened to turn into a superstar? (not all fans do this but a big majority) Nobody ever "wanted" to draft someone who turned into a bust. Fans the greatest talent evaluators in the business today!

In the old days, you could just laugh someone away from the bar.

These days, they can whip out their laptop and Google you to death with obscure information.

But wait, someone said Drew Henson would have been a first round choice, no wait, THE, THE first choice in the draft if he came out after a good senior year! Hold on, let me get the link!

I agree. By atleast the last game of the year we should have home field wraped up and we'll be resting our starters. I expect to see him there too.

I remember in the old days that Chuck Norris was just the hairy white fellow in "Way of the Dragon".

Now he is some tough.

I don't understand.

I've had my share of "wanted" players who missed...

I'm ashamed to admit it... but I wanted Shante Carver.:

I also thought Andy Katzenmoyer would be a beast and that Ron Dayne would be a very good, bruising tailback.

I like the idea of giving Romo his shot. It shows that BP is willing to let position battles happen vs. the old Parcell's guy don't have to worry about their job.

Bledsoe has had a great career, its well know also that he really lacks any mobility or ability to avoid a rush...and has a tendancy to hold the ball too long. Heck were still hearing about it in training camp.

If Romo can make all the throws and reads that Bledsoe can, get the ball out faster...Have an ability to avoid the rush...Well, then there could be a new sherrif in town.

I guess that is what Saturday will be about, to actually see Tony go against 1st string players in the 1st quarter on Saturday.

As much as we want to see Tony against 1st stringers....It would just like BP to call 15 runs and 3 pass's in that 1st quarter...lol.

That is one pitfall of this new age of the internet.

Anyone who can Google can claim they know the real deal.

Very few can back it up.

it's funny, Google carries more weight than actually seeing the guy, and having any training in evaluating players, but whatever
