Dang... I hate that for Dez, but he will just have to own that for awhile. I don't think it will follow him like some of the others though.
I am sure Dez is losing a lot of sleep worried about fans not like him. NOT! im sure Dez could care less.

I heard this list was compiled from information gathered by talking to only Asian speaking people in Chinatown near Manhattan because thats where their office is located.

How one the NFL good guys (Tony Romo) was ever on that list just tells you how foolish it is.
Mix Cowboy QB (and all the attention that goes with it) with lack of team playoff success and people tend to make it personal. I understand that on a shallow level, but the hate (on a personal level) is very misguided.

Romo was out dating celebrities, taking trips right before playoffs and was given elite status by whole lot of people before he really accomplished anything. It didn't sit well with ex cowboy players and it certainly didn't sit well with non cowboy fans. I think most see Romo career winding down and have backed off or maybe he just isn't as relevant any longer.

What is more surprising is seeing Vick still number 1. He has done a ton of charity work and speaking engagements about animal violence. I live in south jersey so I hear about him often and it seems he was spending as much time doing charity work than actually playing football. Certainly no apologist for the gent but he did the right things after getting out of jail.

Most football followers don't take the trouble to get all the inside information that it takes to get a true picture of what someone like Dez is actually all about. He once had many sceptics, even among a considerable segment of Cowboys fans until they came to become far more intimately familiar with his inner workings.

Dez has had more than his share of hardship growing into the person and teammate he is at present. He's now proven himself as one of the most devoted and capable players on the team in addition to maturing into a respectable adult. People who aren't really familiar with someone and have simply heard a few negative things are often quick to judge.

I do believe most of those who have come to know Dez more closely have come to respect him both as a player and a human being as well. We humans are extremely complex creatures. Observers who form judgments based on only a few known facts seldom afford anyone like Dez a fair shot. Granted, he's still a work in progress but I'm confident he'll be just fine now and most likely, well into the future.

the only reason vick is doing all that is because he has to

You and so many others refuse to face the fact that he tortured and killed dogs FOR YEARS.

That is not a mistake; its a pattern of behavior that shows you what that person is really all about.

What's your problem?!
You know that killing dogs, or raping women, murdering someone, getting drunk-driving murder, drunk driving..period, doing lots of drugs, skipping meetings, bad-mouthing teammates, fans, coaches, owners....that is WAY better than dating a celeb for a little while 6-7 years ago.
Get your priorities straight.
