Tony Romo Receives 3 New Citations After OWI Arrest; His Team Makes Statement

He had an open container in the passenger seat. The shooters were in a backpack. For those wondering, these are basically the airplane bottles

Words matter... in Legal things.

From the article: "possessing open intoxicants inside his vehicle," the report says.

I would think that cop could have easily seen an open container in the front seat. Get real Kwyn. Before Tony's rental was towed, an open container was found somewhere in the vehicle. It could have been under the front passenger seat, or in the floorboard behind the front passenger seat, etc.

He's cooked at CBS. I think they let it all play out then let Tony go. I also think there is a good chance someone else pick him up immediately.

Honestly, I could see Amazon making the move for him. I like Kirk Herbstreit. Please do not get me wrong. But I think Romo would be an upgrade next to Al Michaels, and I think Kirk is much better with college. Or, maybe they do a trio with Kirk, Al, and Romo.

Easy there Columbo.

“Passenger side”.

Maybe he had slit open the seat, slipped in a fifth of Johnny Walker Blue and then stitched it back up.
.

We're still waiting for the the results of the blood test. I wonder if that will be released before his court date.

Tony had shooters in his car and they were unopened. The charge was for an open container found in his car before towing. Was there alcohol in the open container? I don't recall.

We also have not seen the cop dash cam video of Tony doing his unlawful lane change. We may not see that before his court date. If that evidence is solid, there's no reason at all to drop it.
It's cheaper to drop the charges and not go to court and offer a plea deal. Especially if Romo has no other priors.

At least he didn't have kill anyone like the piece of trash Henry Ruggs III. Hope that dude constantly gets parole turned down.

What is crazy to me is that he could hire a 24/7 driver that just follows him around like a puppy and he would never notice the expense.
i agree with pansophy---the dude is so rich...hard to give him benefit of doubt....he could have called limousine service or lyft?

I like how they carefully pointed it out as civil.

We beat this to death in the mega thread, but to give a clean comparison and show how Wisconsin treats this as non criminal, I asked AI to format it nice and neat.

Tony so rich he could have driver 24/7....but i will miss him doing color in games....he was one of the best

I thought of opening a bar, with chauffeur service to and from
But I just got too old,
But I still think it’s a great idea
It’s so much different than just calling an Uber, when you’re ready to leave if you had too many
where you can change your mind, if you get the ride to the bar, you most likely won’t be close to your car
Whirlwin----good idea.....i was paralyzed as passenger getting T-boned....driver went to jail....then guilt you hurt someone for life..yes he

was very drunk

I’m so sorry, my cowboy brother. Nobody deserves that.

lol I would rather just get an uber

Right. Romo’s announcing career is done on CBS , at least the gig he’s had, and not likely to return anytime soon on another network.
He will be back next year
You guys are making way more out of this than reality

Agree 100%

OJ could have just hired somebody too but some people are just more "hands on"
Thats just messed up. I mean really crossing the line. You clearly have no shame.

Funniest thing Ive seen all week. I applaud you sir
