Tony Romo thoughts

Who cares what you think? You cant even stick to your guns about one thing. Just shut up im tired of your hypocrisy.

:laugh2:

You have no idea what you are talking about, I bash him when he deserves it, and praise him when he does well. That is far from hypocritical. It is called thinking for yourself and forming an opinion on your own observations.

If you want to witness hypocrisy you don't have to look far on this board. The forum is littered with it.

No player that ever played the game has not had numerous terrible games in their career. For some reason, Romo's just get magnified 10 fold. It's one the universe's great mysteries:D

In basketball terms, that Detroit game would have been something on the order of
25 pts, 3 asssits, 11 turnovers...or something like that anyway.

NOT 4 pts, 10 turnovers ....which was more like Eli's 0 TDs and 3 pick debacle last week.

Every QB except maybe Rodgers has had at least 1-2 stinkers this year, and most have had many more than that.

People tend to forget that Tony had 3 TDs passes and was playing with broken ribs vs the Lions. 34-47 for 331 yards, 3 TD,3 ints. That was a typical stat line for John Kitna when he in in Detroit. :p:
Anyway, if that is Romo's worst performance of the season, I'll take it. I never understood people jumping off the cliff over tha game given the situation and performance.

Yeah. That's not at all what you do, btw.

I think it was a mistake when they got Tony to try and emulate Brady by staying in the pocket and footwork and such. He is a gunlsinger; but with a lot more judgement then Favre ever had. You take his very strong points of being a houdini at escaping the pass rush and his ability to improvise and you enhance those traits, while constantly reminding him that a thrown away ball is better then a sack; and a sack is better then a turnover.

He hasn't deserved to be "bashed" in nearly 3 months.

bashers always claim that they only do it when warranted. They are all full of it. They do it whenever they think they can get away with it.

Haters will bash no matter what.

Best of luck to him.

We will need a heavy dose of the "Romo magic"
Oh, so you have changed your mind on him again?

You sound angry. Why is it hypocrisy to point out when Romo screws up?

he's played great lately, but hopefully won't be expected to do the impossible if things get wicked late.

Well of course not but that's actually what Tony's good at. He messes up when he doesn't have to is the problem. He's been good lately no reason he can't continue.

He has been playing well. NOW is when the pressure comes however. So hopefully its not back to INT at the worst times.

If youre gonna call for his job then in a month praise him its un-intelligent. Point out his errors, whatever, but call for his job? I would love to go to jucks work or 2233boys job and see how good they perform there. I bet they dont perform at romos level, yet they call for his job, like if they do any better in their lives.... Epitamy of hypocrisy if you ask me.

I have been pretty harsh on old #9 this year and it started after the Detroit debacle. I have had some not so nice things to say and I have had some heated debates with some on the board over my view of Romo. However I am glad to say I believe is Romo, I believe he is primed to get it done and make a serious run. It was the way he spoke on the NFLN after the Bucs game. The way we heard him on the sound FX, it got my excited again. So go handle business Romo and prove all who doubt your wrong. I would like my crow crispy on white bread with buffalo sauce.
The only thing I like about Romo is the fact he said himself, he doesn't care about stats at all, he only cares about winning. I wish his most loyal fans thought like him, they totally get on my nerves with all the excuses. If it weren't for his empty-head fans, I'd probably like the guy.

What are you talking about? Are you even a fan? You don't like Romo because of how his fans defend him????????

I'm assuming part of the issue you have with these empty-headed fans is that they use stats (facts) to prove why he's a great QB.

What would you prefer they make reference to on this website?

he's a great QB, but until he hoists the Lombardi, there will be criticism regardless of whether it is justified.

If it weren't for trolls he wouldn't need defending.

That is just stupid, I back the team. If he messes up I'm going to say it. If he does well, I'm going to say it. I don't say a player is great just because that person plays for the Dallas Cowboy.

There is just no logic in judging every single position on the football field by whether the team wins or loses. You have to evaluate them individually or you'd be cleaning house every single year.

The easiest way to evaluate whether a position plays well is to watch them and look at the stats. Anyone with eyes and a stat sheet can see Romo is playing at an amazing level.
