They're telling him who actually came. I can see how he wouldn't know who actually hit him since it happened so quickly.

But that has absolutely nothing to do with whether he pointed out the potential blitzer before the snap. In fact, if you're just going off the video posted in this thread, I don't see how you could really comment on whether he pointed him out or not, since it doesn't show much of the pre-snap video.

I am just going off his comments on the sidelines where he misidentifies the blitzer. It looks like if he knew that Barber was going to blitz or threatening blitz then he did not: 1) communicate it to Bennett (who was on that side) or 2) audible out of playaction and go for the hot read (neither Crayton or Roy are ready for the quick throw from the stills Temo provided)

In any case, no mas, remind me not to pick up the soap around you guys. :D

No, if you watch the actual play, it's very clear that he communicated it before the snap. He just did not realize it was Barber that actually blitzed after the ball was snapped. Just because Barber shows blitz before the snap doesn't mean he's actually going to blitz. Romo communicated it, assumed someone would pick up the blitz, then ran the play. If you watch the play, after he communicates the protection toward Barber, Barber immediately backs off out of the blitz (likely due to Romo calling him out) -- hence's Romo's statement that he "pops out."

This is a great video...looks like he commands everyone's attention to me. Maybe someone should forward this to Emmitt.

Nice post. I actually have a great appreciation for that video. I have harped on the fact that he needs to step up and become more of a leader and today my eyes have been opened. I love his command of the team when he's in there. Regardless of whether this is him stepping up or if this has been him the whole time... I really like what I hear. Keep setting the bar higher for yourself Tony and you'll be fine.

For any fans that want a different perspective of the video from Buc fan, enjoy the comments here. :)

Son of a *****! Just listening to Tony stirred my emotions. I've become a Romosexual just listening to the fire that Tony brings. Screw those who believe Romo is not a leader.

Tony is a leader and ready to lead the Cowboys to a Super Bowl. Rephrase... not just lead them to... but win it all. Maybe not this year, but in the next year or two.

Book it!!!

Actually Romo identifies another player as "popping out" and is corrected by both Garrett and a QB (Kitna?). This is what I have been referring to this entire time.

Again, I am going only on his comments in this vid. I have not re-watched the game.

No, he said that Barber popped out, but he thought a different defender was the one that sacked him. (I think he was referring to one that helped him up after the sack)

Or not. Re-watch it.

"No, Ronde pops out." Those are his exact words.

I noticed that too. No one was even looking at Romo. Nothing compared to Brees doing the warmup....they get crazy with Brees. I don't know if people just aren't that into football or we just have alot of "chill" players that just try to do their job and go back to the bench.

well, he is only doing this because he is mic'd up. they aren't used to anything like this and probably won't have to do anything like it again.

Yeah you're right, he thought Ronde pulls back into coverage. 2 DBS were showing blitz initially. It was Bennett who either does not hear Romo's check/blitz pickup, or Romo does not call a check/blitz pickup b/c he thinks Ronde pops out (from blitzing).

In either case, it was a great video, kudos to Romo and I hope the Cowboys D gang tackles as well as you guys. :D

That was good stuff. Leaves no doubt he has the competitive fire.

Can't wait to wear my Romo home jersey for the game Sunday night.

naw that kid will never be a leader :D

This is what we fans rarely get to see. It usually looks like he is quite on the sideline. It just goes to show what we don't know about the team.

"The way he abused our secondary was pretty funny too.."

"Im embarrassed as a fan. my comment was more of a dig on Romo, who isnt know for being having huge stats. but the Bucs D made him look awesome"

"I dont know about you guys but when he told his team to "finish them", that whole scene made me say why the hell cant we get someone like that!" and some around here take him for granted

Everyone is not a ra-ra guy, it is as simple as that. I am immensely impressed with Romo, his video shows someone that is a great leader and he will only get better.

I don't know how any cowboy fan can walk away from watching that video and not feel proud that he has filled the void of not having great cowboy QB. We should all relish this moment because you never know when the next Carter/Hutchinson/Henson/Spare reign will begin.

Edit: After rewatching Bree's video, everyone is not into being fired up but that is ok. It is just funny that our fans are critical of Romo but not Brees, I wonder why?

Thanks for sharing. Romo has "it". The doubters keep calling him the next Danny White. This guy is no Danny White. There will be championships in our future.

That's great stuff. Interesting that Romo was begging Garrett to call the play that went for a 66-yard TD to Williams. He knew they'd be vulnerable to it.
Not only that, but Kitna telling him "I told you first thing when I got here dude can really run posts," and Romo replying, "oh, you're not kidding."
