He might be our best offensive player. DeMarcus Ware is becoming a great player too.

I would go with him and TO as pretty much equals. TO can be argued as the best WR in the game. Tony Romo could be argued to be the best QB in the league, but I'm not sure how many people you would get to agree with you. At best, I'd put him #3 at this point in his career. I wouldn't want anyone else right now, but as a body of work? He's #3 tops.

I feel he is the most likable, but terrance newman is a far better pure athlete than tony is, I would venture that ware is too.
I love tony, but seriously, he can't walk on water.

I dig TO I really do, I am glad he is on the team, but the more I get to watch his game he isn't nearly the best receiver in the game. Realistically on TO's best game versus other WR's in the leagues best games he is top 10, maybe top 5, nothing more.

Marvin Harrison is an above average receiver that has the best QB to ever live throwing at him.

He is not even close to being the best receiver in the NFL.

meh, its late and I have been drinking a little do I will go there with this.

at their best:
steve smith
marvin harrison
reggie wayne
torry holt
chad johnson
TO

thats my list and pretty much close to in order of things, manning is a great qb but both of his receivers are ELITE and have 'WOW' moments so they deserve to be listed as the best of the best.

I hope that's not in any order and not exclusive.

I've been drinking Greek wine and Scotch.

Cheers.

LOL
yards don't make a receiver great how they play and for me how good are their hands, Irvin was top notch cause holy crap he has great hands, rice has great hands, hell, for me, keyshawn had great hands. Hands make a huge difference for me with receivers and TO has good not great hands.

Perhaps. His game is different than basically any other wideout in the game. He's got really good speed, moderate jumping ability, and average to just below average hands. What he does better than anyone else in the game is run with the ball in his hands.

He is stronger than any other wideout in the game and is hard to bring down. If you combine that with his speed, it's a unique combination that no other wideout has.

of everyone on that list TO has the worst hands
Which really pisses me off being a fan of his, the guy is right there as one of the best ever to play the game but he just doesn't have the hands.

if you got a point for every catch id agree with you, but you need to get TDs to get points, and there isn't another reciever who is as much a threat to go to the house on any play as owens. the name of the game is TDs, yards, and affecting the game. TO is right at the top in all catagories.

It's absolutely true though. He is a good wide receiver. He is not great. If you give another wideout the same QB and the same offensive system for his entire career, and have that QB be Peyton Manning? I'd venture to say you'd get similar numbers.

TonyRomo#9

he has a point. the fact that marvin and reggie wayne are on the list, discredits both of them.. they are great don't get me wrong, but none would be quite as good without manning. he shows that he can do it with anyone, and the receiver is almost interchangable.. I.E. marvin going out, and he can just make dallas clark fill in perfectly.. plug TO, or ocho cinco into the colts, and he would look better then jerry rice.
