Tony Romo's Progression from 2007-today

That 07 game vs the Bills was the only game I can recall where Romo was terrible almost the entire game but was able to settle down in the end and play great when the game was on the line. He was dreadful for 56 minutes and brilliant in the final 4 minutes.

Yeah, I love the check downs when it is 3rd and 7 and he throws a 2 yard pass to his BFF (without pressure). Us being ineffective in the red zone almost cost us the game. 2 minutes left and Eli has the ball at the 50.

Funny, his two td passes where to his BFF too..........guess you would rather he hold on the ball an extra 2 seconds, get sacked and fumble the ball away

That has nothing to do with the check downs that are way short of the first down markers. I'm absolutely fine with him going to the endzone or very close/past the first down markers on 3rd down. A 2 yard check down to Witten or anyone else on 3rd and 7+ yards with no pressure is extremely lame though.
