Tony Ugoh released by Colts, worth investigating?

If all the other teams let him pass through waivers to us, I'd be very skeptical.

If Bill Polian was the end-all and never made an error with a roster move, he wouldn't have given up a first to get Ugoh in the first place.

He is definitely worth a look if the money is right and he can pass a physical.

Fresh starts do some players well. Looked like a natural tackle when I saw him as a rookie. Sack numbers will be deceiving since Manning doesn't take many sacks.

Stick to radio.

This guy thinks the Bears and Colts are the same in evaluating talent.

:lmao:

Wow. Way to impress us.

Stick to being uninformed.

I'd sign him after the season to try him out maybe, but I wouldnt waste a spot this yr on him.

Me either. Yes, Barron is worthless, but it's too late to get Ugoh ready to contribute in the system. Next year though, I wouldn't mind letting Barron walk and bringing in Ugoh.

Way to find a way to insult based on misapplied logics...as very few left tackles make a real go there their first year. If they were great judges of talent, then that would be the FIRST conclusion involving his being taken onto their team to START, and a draftee that year to boot.

MIKE TEST, Testing....Testing....Testing.

Now there were plans by Indianapolis to start him at another offensive line position. Meaning that they still regarded him strongly, but he was injured and they needed more of a healthy alternative. He wouldn't replace Free to begin with, in any consideration for Dallas.

But don't even get high collar yourself. None of your 'facts' have been proven out. Indianapolis explained their reasons as I stated. :suxskins:

Part of the reason Colombo worked out is we gave him a year to workout, rehab, and get reaclimated to football.

You are not making any sense.

He played well when they first drafted him.

Now he's hurt and wasn't even playing Tackle any longer.

So like I said the Colts don't see much value in him anymore. I trust them. If it was the Raiders then maybe I don't. But since they put up 12 wins every year and play in the AFC Champ game more often than not I trust them.

As for insulting him. 'Stick to radio'. He gets what he gives. If he takes a shot then I take a shot. Same **** different day.

First, by substituting your own mental pauses in reasoning doesn't change the facts. They did NOT state he had NO value, they needed a healthy lineman. And stated it as such.

You are saying he had no value, and thus another poster was wrong in responding directly to yourself. You are wrong twice now on BOTH accounts.

So he has value to the Colts and that's why they cut him?

I am going back to earth. Peace.

Yeah, that's what he said.

He compared the Bears making a mistake in letting Colombo leave to the Colts letting Ugoh leave. As if one organization hasn't proven they know a whole lot better than the other one.

Once again. We know where this is going. Another ****ing groupie is on the scene.

He like gives up three sacks...Dallas is a dominant passing team, and your case against him has been he was released. But that was the case with Colombo as well. But you discounted the facts and stuck to your original, and now unbased opinion generated by yourself, and not even questioned from your Dali Lama on the airways.

And keep right on insulting, now talk about being a ring tapper, and you don't even have a quote by one of your radio guests to support you here....by the way, how often do they call YOU to find out what is going on with a player?

Indianapolis Colts coach Jim Caldwell said today uncertainty about offensive tackle Tony Ugoh’s toe injury prompted Wednesday’s decision to release the 2007 second-round selection.
"Tony certainly has had one of those tough stretches here in the preseason, kind of up and down,” Caldwell said of Ugoh, who the Colts traded a 2008 first-round pick to move up and select.

“We were just not quite certain of his health. Consistently, he had some problems and we just were not quite certain when he was going to be able to get back. So we had to make a decision.”

Having lived in Chicago and Indy for the majority of my life, there's no comparison between how Indy and Chicago run their organization. Polian is right a lot more than he is wrong, and the McCaskeys are pretty much clueless.

Stick to protecting our country. ;)

Touché ;)

I was asked once, to type up a letter of rebuttal for a CSM who was once going to get a CG Letter of Reprimand. They relieved the Bn Cmdr two days later for lack of ethics. He should have covered the CSM's actions as he had full knowledge of them allready. When you are right, Cpt, you are right. No apology required...

Even if being a ham operator is the excuse for a cheap shot series. All you would have been required to do, was demand authentication first. Or taken it to an 'alt' frequency. As to airway familiarities.

serious that injury is. If it's a one year type of injury, I'd sign him cheap for 3 years and stick him in the IR. Lose this year, possibly next year because of labor issues, but he'd be sufficiently healthy by 2012. In other words, do the same thing we did with Columbo.

Having said that, and I know this is a bit contradictory because I'm all for developing young guys, but if I'm Jerrah, I'm sniffing around San Diego right now to see if they'd be interested in trading Marcus McNeill. I know they don't care about Vincent Jackson and closed the door on him back in January ( according to reports ), and that it's not the same with McNeill, but Marcus is determined to sit out the year, especially after SD lower the original tender, and since there's going to be a new CBA either in 2011 or 2012, it's not going to matter wether he reports the final 6 games of the season this year to accrue service time, or not.

As a matter of fact, I would NOT be opposed to offer them a #1 draft choice for him ( although I don't think that's going to be enough ). He's 27 years old, just about to enter his prime and a legit Pro Bowler at LT.

well who would you rather have on the pup list

Hodge - who will never see a down

Ugoh - who might better than Barron - possibly move him to RT
