Brad Johnson??? :banghead:
Good Lord I hope Romo is better than that.

Is Tampa even on the "football map?" What was it like 20+ years straight of losing seasons?
I will ALWAYS be grateful however to Tampa for the year that they beat the skins (racial slurs) in the last game of the season to keep Wash out of the playoffs. That was a few years back, but it was beautiful.

Oh, we're on the football map alright. Maybe you didn't know that we're Super Bowl XXXIIIX champs, governor.

We really haven't had a bad losing string of season since I started following the Pirates back in '97. We've been up and down but it's been a fun ride.

Super Bowl Rings
Brad Johnson - 1
Dan Marino - 0

Brad Johnson - 1
Peyton Manning - 0

Brad Johnson - 1
Tony Romo - 0

So it looks like most of you have bought stock in Tony Romo, Inc., huh?

I agree that the guy looks like he can play the position but should we annoint him the next Brad Johnson just yet? I think that may be a little premature.

Fletch, great movie(s) by the way, I see what you're point is. Sure, the Cowboys may be the biggest team in Dallas but I wholeheartedly feel that the Bucs are the media darlings of the broadcast entities, however something about this Eastern Illinoisian has the NFL League grumbling.

Is it because he's Italian? Is it because he grew up in the Bronx? Is it because he learned from the tutolage of another Italian named Vincente Testaverde? All of the above could be true, but the Toledo Rocket has done more with less.

It's not rocket science to realize that in Toledo Ohio there's not much to do besides play football. So when you have the pedigree that B-Ski does and you come out and lay down your tears and your guts each and every week only to see some guy named after a famous BBQ Rib joint take all of your press you may be a little jealous as well as envious.

But that's just me. Bucco Bruce is made of sterner stuff.
Have you done your Power Rankings this week yet?

Not yet, Dan. Gonna wait until mid-season. Keep checking my ******* page. I'm trying to keep them up there. Don't worry, America's Team is moving up the ol' ladder.

nyc, easy on Trent Dilfer. He single-handedly turned around this franchise into the perennial contender it is today.

Just wanted to both drop in and say hi as well as ask who this Tony Romo guy is.

Just kidding, because if anyone in the free world doesn't know who Romo is then they've been living on another planet.

ESPN, CNN, ESPN 2, ESPNNEWS, ABC, CBS, FOX, heck they even talk about the guy on the Weather Channel for crying out loud!

I'm here to say it isn't fair. The Pewter Pirates happen to have one of the premier rookie QB's in the league with B-Ski. Do we get a mention on Football Night in the Universe? Does Bradshaw make a comment about the Toledo Rocket on FOX? Do we even get a shout out by Sehorn? Heck no.

But Tony Romo? Oh yes. Tony's so cute...Tony's the best ever...Tony does a Brett Farve impression...Tony walks like Joe Montana...Tony has the same number as Tommy Kramer...Tony went to school in Illinois which is where the Bears are whom Dick Butkus played for...Tony has moxie (what the heck is that?? Do they keep stats for MOXIE? Excuse me, what's your moxie rating Tony, "It's off the chart, playa"). I could go on but I'll digess.

Hey Cowboys fans...that was your future QB crying on the sidelines. I could almost see through his hand and hat that he was crying. How does that make you feel?

I'll be frank, I'm a little jealous of the pub the Cowboys get. No...seriously. I'm sitting here at the center of football...Tampa Bay and we don't get a whimper. Why is that?

Anyhow, good luck with the greatest man ever to walk on two legs that does Brett Farve impressions while playing quarterback.

Just had to vent. My apologies.
:laugh2:

Now, let me read the replies of everyone who doesn't get it. So I can laugh some more.

You don't hear much about the Houston Texans' quarterback situation, either. :)

Let's not get off the subject at hand here, 'vark.

Tell me the truth...you're probably sick of hearing about Tony Romo everywhere you turn, aren't you?
