Would be great for us, I said it in another thread... But it would be idiotic for Jax to do this. Nice to dream though.
We saw former Ohio State HC, Urban Meyer accepting the Jacksonville Head Coach position this week. Now there are rumors that Scott Linehan could join him as the new OC. Both coaches have major ties with Zeke Elliot, his former college HC and his former OC with the Cowboys in which he built an offense around his talents.
Jax doesn't have many quality players as they are in a rebuild, but they do have a quality back in James Robinson. This would take away any interest of acquiring Zeke Elliot.
Unlike many, I still am a big Zeke supporter, but realize he is way overpaid, especially now with the offense centered around their passing attack and their 3 top WR's.
I don't think Zeke was healthy, they just didn't advertise it. In the Eagles game he looked fresh and somewhat healthy and added 139 yards to the offense.
we really needed another zeke post.. you bored? not enough posts on dumping om zeke..you know its not happening, yet you post anyway..we call that trolling..We saw former Ohio State HC, Urban Meyer accepting the Jacksonville Head Coach position this week. Lol, so he wasn’t healthy all season except for the one or two decent games he had. Do the excuses ever stop for this clown?I don't think Zeke was healthy, they just didn't advertise it. In the Eagles game he looked fresh and somewhat healthy and added 139 yards to the offense.
It isn't about just the passing attack., when zeke was drafted 4th overall , it was about adding an explosive home run threat to a Tony Romo at that time.
Just as many were drooling over the idea of adding Adrian Peterson to Tony Romo, when AP was released by the Vikes., ( many assumed that AP still had it)
But then 2016 came around and we had the opportunity to draft the home run hitting ZKE.
And as a defense, how do you keep up with BOTH an explosive pass attack that also has an explosive back ?
But of course as virtually everyone knows zeke no longer has such explosiveness.

I like Pollard's homerun ability but unfortunately a lot of times until he hits the long one his average yards per attempt is around two. I think the number of changes on the offensive line had an impact on our running game this year.He hasn’t been an explosive player for awhile now.
That’s what made Zeke awesome.. Zeke was great at everything and could also hit home runs.. His homerun ability is gone.
Everytime Pollard touches the ball there is a chance he breaks it.
This league is all about big plays and while Zeke is better at things like blocking and short yardage I will take the guy that can still do those things at a lesser level but can hit home runs.
I didn't think he had a very good season either, at times he wasn't focused and had a lot of fumbles and dropped passes, but his average yards per attempt was very respectable and I hope he bounces back next year.Lol, so he wasn’t healthy all season except for the one or two decent games he had. Do the excuses ever stop for this clown?
The only reason he wasn’t healthy was because he spent the off season playing video games, getting “low key faded” and eating Doritos.
If we trade every player that's not performing up to par, we wouldn't have a team to field.

His base salary doesIf we trade him, does the salary go with him? I personally want to keep Zeke. I think he has something left.
I wouldn't say no one. If I get Lawrence you aren't expected to win right away but you want to take advantage of his rookie years under that contract. IMO, it would be smart to trade for ZEke if you think he's still a elite back. Or you could just stick with Robinson he played well last year.No one is going to trade for a RB with a big contract in the NFL, NO ONE. The RB position is one of the easiest skill positions to get high production out of straight out of the draft without using a high pick. All this talk of trading Zeke is just fantasy. It was a foolish signing by Dallas and its just something they need to live with.
And given his off-the-field transgressions as a pro...I wouldn't doubt Meyer had to deal with some problems caused by Elliott back at Ohio State.I doubt Urban would want an overpaid diva that publicly threw him under the bus in college. He put up with zeke’s crap then because he helped them win a national championship, he sure as hell isn’t doing that now.
The only championship zeke could bring to Jacksonville now is the Nathans Hot dog championship belt, I think he could give Joey Chestnut a run for his appetite.
