We already did. Concensus is we'd be lucky to get Paxton Lynch. There is a lot to like.

With such a bad division I can't see us losing enough to get Lynch or Goff unfortunately. Maybe Hackenberg would be there in the teens, but that's an iffy pick at best...and I'm a Penn State fan.

If not Lynch or Goff in the 1st then I'd wait to see how good of a value we could get on Wentz after the injury. Maybe he drops down to the 4th round range? IDK, too early to pin down exact rounds or order these guys are going to go in. Lynch, Goff, Hackenberg, or Wentz are about the only guys I've seen that are worthy of any kind of investment in the top 4 or 5 rounds.

Top QBs this draft:

1. Paxton Lynch
2. Jared Goff
3. Connor Cook
4. Cardale Jones*
5. Hackenberg*
5. Gunner Kiel
6. Dak Prescott
7. Carson Wentz
8. Cody Kessler
9. Kevin Hogan
10. Nate Sudfeld

The only 2 QBs that I would draft are Lynch and Goff, personally. But I think the Cowboys will look at one of the 3-7 options in the middle rounds.

I also think Hackenberg and Cardale Jones return to school for their Senior years, so that leaves Connor Cook, Gunner Kiel, Carson Wentz, and Kessler. Not a fan of any of them, unfortunately, but that's who I think we are going to look at.

Trevone Boykin is another popular name that will be brought up, especially since he's the hometown kid and he's a dynamic player, but I don't see him as a franchise signal caller. I think he eventually moves to WR.

Will be interesting to see how he performs at the combine though.

I think Wentz, Kiel, Towels, Brissett and Sudfeld could good day 2 development prospects. I think Hogan and maybe Kessler could be day 2 guys as well, and they offer more as backups instantly but both could end up Chad Henne types

TCU senior Trevone Boykin is among the leading Heisman Trophy contenders and is putting up tremendous numbers for the second consecutive season as a dual-threat quarterback. However, many expect he'll have to move to a different position for a chance to make it at the next level. I asked five NFL personnel executives to give me the best player comparison for Boykin. Here are theiranswers.

Executive 1: Tyrod Taylor
"I'm not a big Boykin guy. He's a better athlete than Taylor, but he's not as good a thrower."
Executive 2: Hines Ward
"They have almost identical builds coming out of college. I think Boykin's best shot at the next level is at wide receiver."
Executive 3: Seneca Wallace
"He reminds me of Wallace. I don't see him as an NFL starter, but he'll be an athletic backup."
Executive 4: Johnny Manziel

"Strictly on the field, he reminds me of Manziel. I think Boykin has a stronger arm than Manziel."
Executive 5: Antwaan Randle El
"He's not a QB (in the NFL), but I like his quickness and elusiveness. Maybe you get lucky and end up with someone like Randle El."

Good list, IAL

I'd like to see your updated list around draft time in 7 months.

Depending on who is available in the first, I'd consider Treyvonne Boykin in the second round. His game reminds me of Romo.

He's a project but worth giving a shot developing. I don't know how tall he'll measure in but I'd take him in the 5th round at the earliest and make him be the 3rd string QB for a few years. Maybe even have him play a few positions early on in his career like what Showers did in preseason so that he can contribute on the active roster.

For those who are unfamiliar with Carson Wentz, here's a little game tape to give you an idea about his game.

6'6 235 lbs with a strong arm and can run a little bit.

I guarantee you he'll play WR in the NFL. Not a franchise signal caller imo.

Heres another QB possibility Jeff Driskel

Driskel accepted an athletic scholarship to attend the University of Florida, where he played for coach Will Muschamp's Florida Gators football since 2011. As a freshman, Driskel appeared in five games, completing 16 of 34 passes for 148 yards with two interceptions. He became the team's starter as a sophomore in 2012. He led them to an 11–2 record and a berth in the 2013 Sugar Bowl, in which Florida lost to Teddy Bridgewater and the Louisville Cardinals.[5]

After starting three games in 2013, Driskel broke his right fibula in a football game against the University of Tennessee and missed the remainder of the season.[6] Prior to the start of the 2014 college football season, Driskel was put on the Maxwell Award and Davey O'Brien award watch-lists. Additionally, Driskel was named to Phil Steele's pre-season 3rd Team All-American list. On January 3, 2015, Driskel was granted his release from Florida and he transferred to Louisiana Tech
