Too much of anybody and not enough Felix is a bad thing. When he has the ball good things happen.

This is really a meaningless thread. Garrett and Phillips will decide when and how to use the running backs we have. They have a little more experience, knowledge and insight then we do.

Personnaly, I would like to see Jones in the game early to keep defenses guessing. Does that mean he starts? No. Just get him to bulk of his touches in the first half. Once we get a lead and start the second half, MBIII can pound the defense and finish them off. Choice will be a good spot player to rest MBIII and to make defenses wonder what we intend to do.

Barber is not a break away threat, but he is a solid back. I liken him to Riggins and Campbell. He will get you three yards when there are none to be had. Fourth and one, I am putting Barber in. Third and 12, I am going with Jones. Each situation will call for one or the others particular skill set.

We can not risk Jones to a constant pounding. He is not built for that and the risk of injury isn't worth it. MBIII thrives in that role.

Everyone wants their pets cats out there all the time, but it doesn't work like that.

Barber is also the best blocker of the 3 when it comes to picking up pass rushers. I want Felix to get many oppertunities and I think he will. I fully expect to see times where both Felix and Barber are in the game together.

Is that the strategy going forward here?
I dont like it if it is.

Yeah it's a weird strategy, I'm a little concerned that we have Romo splitting time with Kitna and McGee as well. Just doesn't make sense. But what really concerns me the most is that Ware is being taken out of the game and replaced with rookies. I thought he was supposed to be the best player in the game? That Phillips really doesn't know what he's doing.

I suspect it's all about blocking. If Felix gets to where he can block well enough to be trusted on the field for more plays, then he'll get the plays. If not, we won't see much more of him than last year.
