I'm glad some of you acknowledge that Eli is a very good QB, as good as Romo is. And YES, the Giants D did come on strong, but then again, without a good D, the offense is useless. Yes Eli relied on his Defense to keep the other team from scoring, but then again shouldn't ANY team?
As for the 2007 "helmet catch", you have to give Eli credit for getting away from what, 3 sets of hands tugging on his jersey. Yes he heaved it, almost a hail Mary pass, but without his getting free, the play would have died.
Aikman even said Eli's going down, no wait, he's still on his feet. Fellas, Bradshaw was only as good as Swan/Stallworth's hands. A QB can only have enough time to read the defense if his line is protecting him. Eli might be horrible on another team, same as Romo might just have a ring on another team, no one knows.
But I am soooo looking forward to the first Thursday in Sept.......got my popcorn ready.....lol
