How does that compare to Eli's superbowl years? 106-163-1219 with 9 TD and 1 int for a 103.3 PR last year. In the other SB season, he was 79-119-854 with 6 TD and 1 int for a 95.7 PR.

Nope, not even close and I have no clue how someone could compare them with Eli.

Eli post some bad season that is not elite at least in my book. You know why his brother is considered elite because he does post the big numbers year in and year out all of the elite do. Eli on the other hands has put up some poor season more than once. This past season he did great but again elite like any position is being able to perform at a high level on a consistent basis.

Are you judging him from his 2004-2007 seasons? No one was considering him elite. Eli turned a corner and has shown progression from 2008 to present. Now if you are going to hold that 25 int season against him then Favre,Brees, Peyton need to be taken out also because they go up and down with ints.

The catch Manningham made on the final drive in the SB was a great catch, but EVERY analyst/broadcaster said the same thing, it was a perfect throw. If you saw Jaworski's reasoning why Eli is his 5th rated QB, he analyzed that play, and picked Eli because.............

“Pre-snap recognition,” said Jaws. “Progression reading. Subtle pocket movement. Willingness to pull the trigger. Precise ball location. You saw many of the attributes demanded to play at an elite level.”

but the point is it didn't, and it was a fabulous throw. YOu should read Ernie Accorsi's scouting report about Eli, and how he carried the Mississippi team. Great read.

The Giants had no running game, and their defense was banged up. Eli carried the team, you can't deny that. He will /should go down as one of the greatest clutch qb's in history.

Now if he sucks this year, that's a different story.

Do you want a bunch of great regular season statistics? Or do you want outstanding post season play and some trophys?

It is pretty humorous to me that if this argument were between Peyton and say, Troy Aikman, that everyone on the board would be pointing to the trophys and how Troy was freaking lights out in the playoffs

You're right, he has to keep it up. But to say: I'll take Brees or Rodgers over him, is an overstatement, because what do you want, complete consistency, or a QB who goes on a run and actually wins. My God, the Giants were the first team in the NFL to turn a 15-1 team and done. Rodgers has one ring, Brees has one ring, they are both top QB's, but give the kid credit for having 2. I'll take a mediocre year here and there and then a SB every 4 yrs.

Screw the stats and QB ratings, what is on the trophy case is what counts, and giving your fans edge of the seat playing.

Those were two fabulous runs they had. Stats are meaningless in the road of life my friends.

I'll tell you this, call me an idiot, but I think (right now anyway) Eli is better than his brother. AND when Eli was drafted, Peyton said he was the better athlete.

That whole play was just a lucky break, IMO. And, that's cool, because football sometimes needs those breaks. It was a fluke play that won a SB...however, let Eli do that 10 more times, and that ball is not perfect, or it gets picked, or it's just an incomplete pass.
