He somehow understands the Romo idiotic critic phenomenon better than most Cowboy fans. Unreal.

Being able to process that Romo is a talented football player and one of the better QB's playing takes a deeper understanding of the game and an ability to think critically that is not common to the average football fan.

Most NFL fans fall into the " Romo lose game, Romo bad, Joe Flacco win game, Flaco goooood" school of thought, and it's not surprising when you try envision what the average American NFL fan looks like and more importantly, how the average American football fan thinks.

Witten just got his first post season td, that is sad in itself.

He was never a top red zone target in his career. It's the only weakness in his resume honestly.

That said he should be a HOF lock.

Well that and not many playoff games , and the offense not too good in most of them.
But I was surprised, since he has played in all of them.

Well done sir. Unfortunately It will fall on deaf ears. Most are just too entrenched from the moronic onslaught of being told how and what to think of Romo all these years.

PS. Fire bad!

Witten is easily my favourite Cowboy of all-time, the consummate professional. Really hoping the FO office realises how close this team is and jumps into FA and get the defensive help needed to get this defence over the top...

I love Big Wit but he ain't better than Gronk

Gronk is too fragile to have a career like Witten's, but when Gronk plays he dominates to a crazy degree. A guy like Witten is more valuable over the long haul, but Gronk's peak is/was ridiculous.

Witten is the best TE to ever play. Not the best blocker, not the best receiver, but averaged out across the board. Add in that the best ability is availability and Witten is the consummate TE.

one of the best. With Mackey (the Earl Campbell of TE's), Winslow, Gonzalez its hard to call. Then u have the 2nd wave of Ditka, Sharpe, Newsome, Gates, Casper etc. Hes in with them but tough to call the best
