Top 10 Is Locked

Finally we can get a lot more accurate in mocks and discussions here, this will increase as the day goes on.

As of right now the highest we can go is 8th. Lions won so they are a 5 win team and picking higher. Silver lining on this is they will probably grab an elite WR before NYG can.

Panthers and Broncos wins result in the 8th pick, loses by both the 10th, a win by either we get 9th.

Who’s your pick?
If Washington loses tonight, we pick 11.

Can somebody explain how 10 is locked?

If Washington loses, they will have the same record but a worse SOS
Washington is not going to lose to Phili..but you are right. IF Washington loses they would move ahead of us and we would draft 11, but pretty sure it's 10.

Football Team could take our spot if they lose. I think 4 quarterbacks, two offensive linemen, 2 wide receivers and 1 tight end goes in the top 10. We have a good chance at getting Parsons, Farley, and Surtain. This was a good loss.

Personally, I’m reading glowing reports on the DT from Iowa, the DT from Bama, the DE’s from Miami and Michigan. I’d love to take a DL at our spot or a trade down.

Some draftnics rate the SC CB ahead of Fairly and Surtain....don’t rely only on ESPN.

I hope they are high enough to draft the best LT available in the draft

I’d be shocked if the top LT lasted past the first 4 picks. The 2nd best T prospect should be there though.

1 - Sewell
2 - Parsons
3 - Trade back + Moehrig/Holland/Bolton/Twyman
4 - Farley or Surtain

Are my preferred picks.

1 - I really don't think Sewell will be there. He's the best OL prospect in a long time. There's no way he makes it past Miami, Cincy, Philly, or Detroit.
2 - Parsons is the biggest "impact" player on defense this year. I don't see him making it past the teams listed above either.
3 - If we could drop because some team thinks Wilson or Lance is their guy at QB, I'd have no problem dropping back. Go best FS/LB/CB/DT the team thinks is available.
4 - Farley or Surtain. Meh. Best CB on the board is fine but doesn't excite me, and I don't know how much it really helps this team.

I will murder people...

From PFF...

11. DALLAS COWBOYS: TE KYLE PITTS, FLORIDA
Drafting a tight end early in the first round isn’t great from a positional value perspective, but Pitts doesn’t just play tight end. The 6-foot-6, 240-pound Florida Gator currently owns one of the highest PFF grades in the country regardless of position (96.2) while playing 261 offensive snaps at inline tight end, 79 at slot receiver and 69 at wide receiver. Not even the Cowboys have enough weapons on offense to warrant passing on Pitts at No. 11.
