1: Chris Berman (I rearely feel the urge t strangle another human, but man...)

2: Joe Buck (He just doesnt understand the game very well. I constantly find myself feeling the need to correct him.)

3: Dave South (If you've ever listened to a Texas A&M radio broadcast, you understand this)

Brent Musberger is also pretty bad

As a side, the best announcers ever:

1: Pat Summerall
2: Keith Jackson
3: Vin Scully

so I guess I'm the only one who remembers how bad Matt Millen was? The guy was doing network and was the biggest freakin homer for the Niners that I ever heard. It's one thing to be a homer for the teams local affiliate but to be pulling that off on network and not being called out on it is insane. Oh and were is Joe Thiesman on that list?

I love me some Gus Johnson. He might go overboard, but man he makes the game exciting.

I will take up the mantle for Collinsworth. When so many announcers really don't want to touch bad officiating for some fear of tainting their broadcast, Cris goes after the officials with a vengence. Same for bad plays, you screw up, Collinsworth calls you out no matter the player.

Now for Dave South, I love the guy. It takes me 34 milliseconds to recognize his voice and change the channel. If he wasn't so annoying, I might be suckered into listening for a full 10 seconds or even longer.

Has Joe Buck ever said anything in the history of history that prompted Aikman to say "Joe, I don't agree with that." Just once Troy should act like he's not on a date trying to get her to drop drawers and not agree with everything Joe Buck says.

Wouldn't it be great. :)

I know for certain, that Aikman has to be doing everything in his power, to bite his tongue.

I've said it before...

Aikman and Buck really suck.

The sooner they go away the better.

That list sucked...

10.Phil Simms--For the record I agree with the writer about his love-in for the Pats, but he isn't terrible otherwise. Still he gets on the list because his "Patriot" love is nauseating.

9. Stephen A. Smith--Self indulgent and rarely accurate...seems like he belongs on TMZ or ET more than he does reporting on sports.

8. Pierre McGuire--Sorry about the hockey reference, but if you ever caught his act on the NBC telecast it's tempered compared to his Canadian telecasts which are bordering on insane.

7.Bill Walton--I admit he can be amusing, but sometimes he says things that just ain't right...like this nugget: “John Stockton is one of the true marvels, not just of basketball, or in America, but in the history of Western Civilization!”...huh?

6.Chris Berman--He has become a characature of himself.

5.Gus Johnson--Talk about over the top, this guy brings new meaning to hyperbole.

4.Dick Vitale--I realize he is a legend, but come on, there is so much your ear drums can take.

3.Joe Morgan--He seems like he is off into space half the time, too cynical for my liking.

2.Joe Buck--Maybe it's my Cowboy bias here, but the guy is sickengly dull and his own biases come out way too much for a lead commentator.

1.Bryant Gumbel--He really isn't even a sports announcer anymore, but his performance on the NFLN was epically brutal.

I think Aikman is very solid...so he does not make my annoying list at all.

I would've put Aikman in the top 3.

I wouldn't miss him at all if he were to leave YESTERDAY!

Agreed...he might be a little dreary, but he isn't annoying at all and very good at breaking down a play.

Anyone else think that Aikman goes to far out of the way NOT to show favor to the Cowboys?

I don't see how anyone could really believe that he shows bias toward the Cowboys when broadcasting.

Funny, loved Aikman as a player, cant stand him as a sportscaster
Couldnt stand Ron Jaworski as a player, Love him as a sportscaster

Aikman is too busy trying disassociate himself with the Cowboys on air as was previously stated in here, and is never very prepared missing obvious calls and giving wrong headed statements that blatantly ignore the use of common sense!

Aikman is one of the best IMO. He is very smart and I like his insight. He isn't afraid to call guys out and I give a lot more creedence to what he says than guys like Colllinsworthless.

Aikman stinks if you don't like listening to facts

yes, he has a tendency to ramble on, but what is Joe Buck going to offer anyways? he's pretty good to listen to when he's broadcasting the Cowboys, and they are doing well, he tends to get more animated

Yeah, like Aikman perpetually blasting Roy Williams down the stretch. "His routes aren't sharp." "He looks lost." "Can't get any separation."

I like how guys spun that like he was trying to divert the blame from his buddy Jason Garrett.

10) Troy Aikman: The guy was one of the greatest quarterbacks to have ever played the game, winning three Super Bowl rings, and making the Dallas Cowboys "America's Team" again in the 1990's, but as a broadcaster, Aikman can be a bit lethargic.

Aikman tends to belabor his points too much when calling NFC East football games, and at times can come across as a whiner when it comes to a bad play by the Dallas Cowboys or New York Giants for example. One knock on Aikmen is that he calls the game in favor of the Cowboys.

I find that hard to believe, since he tends to be pretty critical of them most of the time, but what gets boring with Aikman is the fact that his critiques carry on and on and on.

:laugh2:
if they call what he does favoring us i'd hate to hear him critical
