Meh - kinda opinion on that one…I’d consider legit 4.3ish guys burners but there’s more ways to get open.

Lamb is quick and a plus route runner. Think TMac would bring that plus a massive catch radius.
I have seem Smith stretch the field, he doesn’t have elite timed speed, but is one of the guys who plays faster

Think what you just said and remember Jerry admitted they wanted this kid in the draft. Do you see Jerry burning a 2nd or 3rd-round pick on WR after giving up the 4th-rounder on Mingo? I don't ....at all. I mean you don't think he met with McClay and the scouts regarding the top WRs in the draft before making the trade? As stated before, IMO, Mingo is Jerry's 2025 WR pick......shoot, like you said, he overpaid but what does that tell ya? I'm not saying I agree with it but it's obvious Jerry is pretty high on Mingo. Remember MM said the trade was based on his draft grade.....
First of all, I like the player, he was on many of my draft projections that year. Very hard to evaluate him why he struggled badly in Carolina and why he was so far down their depth chart. Believe he and Tolbert are on the same level, talented, but haven't proven to be a starter in this league. Will they become a true #2 receiver or more of a 3-5 type? In my opinion, this team needs a 1A type of impact receiver, think the likes of Mingo/Tolbert could be that Gallup, but where is our Cooper?

You could be right that, Jerry and the front office believes they have enough at the position with the addition of Mingo, but looking around this league, I say it's inferior to the top contending teams.

I'm not sure Jerry consulted MM, remember the Lance trade, MM was never informed until after the trade was made.

What I will say about Smith, he is a legitimate 1A receiver for Philly. He and AJ Brown are a real good duo. Could Mingo/Tolbert/Flournoy become that Brown type of receiver? Possible, but they still need development. Think they could have a similar impact to Gallup next season, but we need our Amari Cooper to team up with Lamb.

Zero chance anyone on the roster turns in Devonta Smith.

I’d be surprised if anyone of those dudes can even become good as MG.

we certainly do not want to use a first on a WR since whoever we get is clearly going to be a #2
so someone we could get in the 2nd at best or 3rd at worst maybe; since we do not have a fourth

What I would like is a real burner. THAT would be the most valuable addition.
The first thing I look at in any WR is his hands; because nothing else matters if he cannot catch the ball

Oh I don't disagree with you but I'm posting not what I'd like to happen but what I think Jerry will do or in this case not do.......draft a WR with one of the first 3 picks coz of the Mingo trade.

Also....here's something to keep an eye on
I know he and Trevon have talked about playing together. This may be their chance for one year if willing to sign a prove-it deal. BTW....I think Diggs's current deal ends in 2026.

I understand your viewpoint on what you think Jerry would do over your own. Keep on saying we need a strong HC hire that will convince them how to build the team the right way.

Stephon Diggs is a player to watch. It is my understanding he is a fa next yr and will be coming back from major injury. Will he take a prove it contract with the Cowboys? Now, if healthy, he fills that type of receiver we lack.

Odds are against it, think they could become pre-injury Gallup types. Smith is a star and was taking ahead of Parsons.

He should be ready to go by the start of next season....... provided he has no setback. I doubt any team will give him much guaranteed money until he's completely healthy.

I would be totally on board signing him as a fa and pair him with Lamb. Now you have a legitimate passing game with high-end, starting receivers.

BTW... I don't know much about his game......what is his strength? I know he plays with an attitude but what else, route running, speed, hands ????

I wouldnt touch him with a 10 foot pole…he’s on the decline and coming off of a major injury. Not sure he’d move the needle much.

Mingo is our wide receiver draft pick and we better like it. ;) There is no way the Cowboys are drafting a receiver in the first 3 rounds even if the value is there because the Cowboys are getting roasted for the trade for Mingo. Now Hunter might be the exception because of his two way ability.

More of a Amari Cooper type, can stretch the field, but his calling card is a strong route runner.

Looking forward to our pre draft visits…0 WRs and 30 RBs and TEs.

I can see big and little enos saying we already drafted a WR and its better because he already has been in the league and so on

You forgot about Deion’s son visiting. That will be on Amazon Prime documentary leading off Sports Center. The best and worst thing that can happen for us fans in Jerry to mess up the number 1 pick for attention.

Rice was turning into a pro bowler before injury

They just drafted a 1st rounder

They just traded for a potential HOFr in Hopkins

2nd rounder in the bench in Moore

Oh and arguably the best TE of all time…
And a pretty decent O-line, coach and some guy named Mahomes. Not really a fair comparison to us.
