So I asked several reps from every team to help conduct a mock draft of the top 10 picks. These reps are not necessarily scouts or Front Office for all of the teams but some are and some represent the team via media outlets.

The reason I asked these people is because I felt over time they have displayed the most knowledge of their teams situation and direction.

*In the trades that were conducted both parties were able to agree on the deal*

This was not done over night, matter of fact because of the schedules of these individuals it took me just about 2 weeks to get this dang thing completed.

This is what developed:

1. Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton | QB | Auburn
2. Arizona Cardinals (via Denv): Von Miller | LB | Texas A&M
3. Buffalo Bills: Blaine Gabbert | QB | Missouri
4. Cleveland Browns (Via Cin): Marcell Dareus | DT | Alabama
5. Denver Broncos (via Arz): Patrick Peterson | CB | LSU
6. Cincinnati Bengals (via Clev): AJ Green | WR | Georgia
7. Minnesota Vikings (via SF): Robert Quinn | DE | North Carolina
8. Tennessee Titans: Nick Fairley | DT | Auburn
9. Detroit Lions (Via Dal): Prince Amukamara | CB | Nebraska
10. Washington Commanders: Julio Jones | WR | Alabama
11. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Hou): Da'Quan Bowers | DE | Clemson
12. San Francisco (via Min): Jake Locker | QB | Washington
13. Dallas Cowboys (via Det): Tyron Smith | OT | USC
14. San Diego (via Stl): Cameron Jordan | DE | Cal
15. Miami Dolphins: Mike Pouncey | OG/C | Florida

I found it interesting there was so much movement and the guys that did all seemed to have a mission. Like they had their players and there was no plan B. To the man each one of them expect a record breaking year in the trade department. It's not the first time I have heard this. It could be a fun draft!

**please note, I'm not offering this up as some kind of "insider" information. Some of the guys did not land the picks they may say they have a good feel for and some did. It was really more in good fun and to try something different. I think I accomplished that**

Thats nice, and alot of work done. Appreciate that.

Some of those trades could happen. Always hear that Arizona really wants Von Miller. They would probably have to get ahead of Buffalo to do it.

Can also see San Fran moving down to get a QB.

I would love to have a community draft here on the Cowboyszone. That sounds like a lot of fun. Good work SDogo.

Very cool, SD. I hope it works out exactly like that. I'd be afraid of Minnesota snagging Smith ahead of us, though.

I don't mind this at all. I'm surprised we aren't talking up Prince more as Detroit could part with their 3rd to move up for him. I also think a team like the Rams that are hungry for Julio Jones would leapfrog the Skins to take him for a third.

If you can get another pick, you can pick a OG in round three that will be a contributor.

Thank you so much for doing this. Do you have any more inside tibbits you like to share? If you do, please feel free to share. I won't tell anybody. I appreciate as well as others on this board all the work that you do. Thanks.

Detroit moving up to get Prince might be a legit possibility

Thanks for doing this!

Do you know what Dallas got for dropping back a few slots?

I'd do a Jersey Shore fist pump if we move down and get Tyron Smith.

Im sure someone would move ahead of us for him.

Question: Who does Detroit think is going to jump ahead of them for Prince? I don't see anyone I think would really do that. Not only that, I think that it's more probable that Detroit would take a tackle before a CB. (ie, Tyron Smith)

Lions were 26th in sacks given up last year and 25th in QB Hits, so their protection isn't that bad. Meanwhile the average QB rating against their pass D was 89.2, good for 10th worst in the league (we were 4th worst in the league btw, at 92.8).

The general consensus is that their defense, more specifically their pass defense, is their biggest need.

I think they'd love nothing more than to pair a franchise CB with Suh. Smith might be a consolidation prize, but they'd love to have Amukamara.

I duno, maybe a team w a god awful secondary? You might have heard of them, they go by the cowboys. Lol. But seriously, you can't fault Detroit for thinking we may take him. Just because some of us don't want prince doesn't mean Jerry and co don't.

Personally, I'm still trying to find out where all the Amukamara hate comes from, especially at #9.

I think most of it can be traced to a particular Youtube clip, meanwhile Joe Haden went at #7 last year and had a stellar rookie year.

I guess there were no clips of Haden getting roasted on Youtube. Either that or he never surrendered any big plays his entire collegiate career.

I like everything about Prince except his closing speed. This is why I think he makes a better safety than CB.
