So I asked several reps from every team to help conduct a mock draft of the top 10 picks. These reps are not necessarily scouts or Front Office for all of the teams but some are and some represent the team via media outlets.
The reason I asked these people is because I felt over time they have displayed the most knowledge of their teams situation and direction.
*In the trades that were conducted both parties were able to agree on the deal*
This was not done over night, matter of fact because of the schedules of these individuals it took me just about 2 weeks to get this dang thing completed.
This is what developed:
1. Carolina Panthers: Cam Newton | QB | Auburn
2. Arizona Cardinals (via Denv): Von Miller | LB | Texas A&M
3. Buffalo Bills: Blaine Gabbert | QB | Missouri
4. Cleveland Browns (Via Cin): Marcell Dareus | DT | Alabama
5. Denver Broncos (via Arz): Patrick Peterson | CB | LSU
6. Cincinnati Bengals (via Clev): AJ Green | WR | Georgia
7. Minnesota Vikings (via SF): Robert Quinn | DE | North Carolina
8. Tennessee Titans: Nick Fairley | DT | Auburn
9. Detroit Lions (Via Dal): Prince Amukamara | CB | Nebraska
10. Washington Commanders: Julio Jones | WR | Alabama
11. Jacksonville Jaguars (via Hou): Da'Quan Bowers | DE | Clemson
12. San Francisco (via Min): Jake Locker | QB | Washington
13. Dallas Cowboys (via Det): Tyron Smith | OT | USC
14. San Diego (via Stl): Cameron Jordan | DE | Cal
15. Miami Dolphins: Mike Pouncey | OG/C | Florida
I found it interesting there was so much movement and the guys that did all seemed to have a mission. Like they had their players and there was no plan B. To the man each one of them expect a record breaking year in the trade department. It's not the first time I have heard this. It could be a fun draft!
**please note, I'm not offering this up as some kind of "insider" information. Some of the guys did not land the picks they may say they have a good feel for and some did. It was really more in good fun and to try something different. I think I accomplished that**
