5. Alex Leatherwood, Tackle (Alabama)
The Dallas Cowboys have boasted one of the best offensive lines in the NFL for much of the past decade. That unit was mostly built through the draft with players like left tackle Tyron Smith, center Travis Frederick, and guard Zack Martin. The three quickly became pillars of the offense, but those pillars are beginning to crumble.

4. Carlos Basham Jr., Edge Rusher (Wake Forest)
The Dallas Cowboys defense was really bad in 2020. The team gave up the fifth-most points per game in the NFL with 29.6. It also struggled to put pressure on opposing quarterbacks and only managed to accrue a thoroughly unimpressive 31 team sacks, tied for the 13th-fewest in the league.

3. Greg Newsome II, CB (Northwestern)
The Dallas Cowboys secondary was pitiful last season. The unit was one of only seven that allowed opposing passers to throw for a passer rating higher than 100. It also struggled, like most of the Dallas defense, to get takeaways.

2. Alim McNeill, DT (North Carolina State)
The Dallas Cowboys gave up the second-most rushing yards per game in the NFL last season with 158.8. The team was often simply outmatched in the trenches and it became apparent relatively early in the season that they could use an upgrade in the interior of their defensive line.

1. Richie Grant, Safety (UCF)
The Dallas Cowboys secondary is in dire need of an upgrade. This need obviously extends to the safety position. Even with the Cowboys reportedly signing safety Jayron Kearse, the position is still one of need for America’s Team. The 27-year old had 59 total tackles in seven starts with the Detroit Lions last year.

Man, those would be solid options. Certainly, a lot would depend on what we do in the first round.

If we draft Surtain in the first, I would be happy with either of Grant, McNeil or Basham.....probably in that order.

If we draft Parsons or Offense (Slater or Pitts) in the first, then I would go with Newsome, Grant, McNeil, Basham....again probably in that order.

I don't know how he's ranked, but I consider Holland a round 2 target. Nixon, Barmore, and this Milton dude they like--I would consider them legit targets as well

That's a nice group. I really like McNeill but his production doesn't warrant a second round pick for me though I'm sure that's where he'll go. I'm afraid Newsome will be the 3rd or 4th CB off the board in round 1. Basham is a freak and I could see the interest here. I like Leatherwood but he seems like a RT only. Any of the 5 make this a better football team that day which is sad.

My favorite is Grant and I would even be willing to move up to secure him. Trading pick 99 gets us atop of rd 2.

Grant or McNeill none of the others but honestly that's too high for McNeill

I've heard at senior bowl Leatherwood wasn't very impressive
