Unfortunately he doesn't know how to interpret the stats. Asomugha is a great DB, but quite frankly his foaming at the mouth because teams didn't throw against him are unfounded. Fact is, Oakland is rated 29th in offensive points scored, 24th in defensive points allowed and 31st in rushing yards allowed. Those stats taken together suggest that teams prevented Oakland from scoring, scored 24 on them and then ran the ball the rest of the game. Why throw when they can't stop the rush and can't score any points themselves?

I am certainly not defending his list either, just saying there are some numbers to work with at least.

And fwiw Asomugha got about half the attempts his CB counterpart did. So he was seldom tested and it wasn't JUST because the Raiders suck but his YPA and incompletion percentage suggest when tested he answered the bell.

But that's the rub. Oakland had 3 DBs in the top 11 on his list. Hmmmmm

I have no idea what weight he gave to each stat.

The Raiders actually had a worse pass defense than Dallas. They gave up more yards per game and faced only 25 passes less than Dallas. Not sure how teams threw 475 times on them and only had 120 or so attempts at their 3 CBs.

I can quite proudly claim to have seen zero Raider games in 2008 and really could care less about them.

I do think has the Dallas CBs accurately portrayed excepting that he feels Newman was healthy apparently at the very end of the year and he clearly wasn't.

End of the day though it is refreshing to see football geek stats and not just some tried and true list that has Bailey then Woodson at the top....
