Top Glaring Need from the Draft

right now we need a LG, more the anything.

Yeah RIGHT NOW, but once Kosier comes back healthy next year, that won't be a need for a starting Guard, we do need a good backup though, cause Proctor doesn't belong int he NFL and I'd be SHCOKED if he wasn't working at McDonald's next year.

Can't believe noone mention OG. I think if a guy like Herman Johnson or Duke Robinson falls in the 2nd we should go after them. Holland is servicable and we don't know how Kosier will be after the injury.

NO WAY Robinson falls, but even if he did, we have ALL 5 starting O-line positions LOCKED UP under contract for at least 2 more years, so we will not be using our top pick on an O-lineman.

We do need a couple good backups though, my guess is the 4th and 5th round you'll see us take a Center/Guard and another guy who can play all 5 positions, but we will not be using any of our 1st two picks on O-lineman, just doesn't make much sense!

Well we have Big, Holland, and Kosier, sorta. I was kinda thinking draft a center and move Gurode over to LG as another option.

Offensive line (interior lineman moreso) because the current group aren't exactly spring chickens and the backups were drafted for a different system.

Free Safety--They need a ball hawk with speed

Linebackers--a 3-4 defense always requires more warm bodies

WR--T.O is 35...maybe time to cut the cord.

WHY?
Kosier should be fine, and Guride SUCKED at guard but is a pro-bowler at center, that would be like moving Leonard Davis back to tackle, not a good move!

Lets draft a center/Guard in round 4 or 5 to replace Proctor and we'll be fine at the Guard position with Kosier and Holland coming back to go along with Davis .

Like you said, we have Kosier coming back, we also have Holland as another option, so no need to move Gurode out of position where he didn't fair to well, and that's why we moved him back to Center.

[/QUOTE]

his age is not the problem!
We just re-signed him to a 3 year deal before this season started, so our coaching staff doens't thinmk him being 35 means much either.
The guy is still one of the fastest players on the team and is in the best shape!
.

I agree....but he obviously is not the player he was even last year....so what makes u think next year will be much better?

Btw...I am not a T.O basher...just a realist.

He's having a good year, he's getting doubled a LOT, hence the reason why Witten is havgin such a great season, I think he's the same player he was last year, just that we had Brad Johnson at Q.B. and Romo hasn't really been completely helatyh since he 1st got hurt, between his pinky, the back problem now, the L.B. stinking up the joint, and Brad Johnson playing Q.B. for a few games, those are the reasons T.O. is having a abd season, so I expect next year with Felix Jones back and Roy Williams with a whole off-season and Garrett to make new plays to take advantage of having Felix and Roy Williams on the team in the off-season, I expect IF WE KEEP T.O. that he'll have a GREAT YEAR if Romo stays healthy.

Now that's a realist, to realize why his numbers declined, NOT cause of his speed or hsi skills deteriorating, cause of the Q.B. .situation and the O-line problems we've had is the reason.

I did say as an "Option," not a solution. Gurode is not as good as fans elect him to be, he doesn't belong in the pro bowl. Hell he can't even hike properly...

It's NOT AN OPTION, you DO NOT move a guy out of position where he'll be a WORSE PLAYER!

DON'T YELL AT ME SONNY!!!!:mad::rolleyes:

A) I think we need a speedy LB that is good in coverage and a safety.
B) Then a legit OT prospect that has the potential to oneday start.
C) And a small, fast WR that can separate, runs cleans routes, and catches everything. Terry Glenn was such a great complementary WR, and probably one of the most underappreciated WRs of all time. We could've used him in his prime this year. I don't think Austin will ever be very good.
D) A backup QB (I still wish we had taken Brady Quinn and have two good options at QB)

Wasn't yelling,, capitols online don't ALWAYS mean yelling.
Just saying it's not an option!

it's how it comes across. you can make the same point without caps and exclamation marks
