If we got Burden at 44, I would probably just use the rest of the picks on defense, but look to the 5th comp pick for a guy like Brooks. The Booker pick, to me, devalues RB as a top need. Even though I'd love a top RB too.

I know very little about the prospects but I think it will be tough to pass up on the three corners in Johnson, Morrison or Amos. I know a few have injuries but they look legit. I am typically not a high corner guy either.

There are a bunch I would be happy with, but that means they will not be the Cowboys picks. The problem is, after taking OL in the first, they are now desperate for WR and RB. That means a player like Darius Alexander will not be the Cowboys selection.

Well, we do like doing the offense-defense or defense-offense weave. Last year it was offense (Guyton)-defense (Kneeland)-offense (Beebe). The year before it was defense (Mazi)-offense (Schoonmaker)-defense (Overshown). The previous year, offense (Smith)-defense (Williams)-offense (Tolbert). Not since 2021 have we stuck with one side of the ball, when we went defense with the first six picks we made.

I'm thinking Higgins goes pretty quickly at the start of the round. Same with Burden. Either would be a great pick at 44.

I kind of feel like with a new defensive coordinator, we'll throw him a bone. Lots of mouths to feed.

As Stephen Jones has said, I don't think the team feels near as desperate at RB and WR as the fans do. I don't agree with Stephen, but that is the team perspective.

I could see us easily going with one of the corners (Johnson, Amos, Revel, Morrison), the linebacker (Schwesinger) or DT Shemar Turner. Maybe even DE Donovan E.

I don't see us going with strictly an NT-type, though, or a low-character player because Eberflus wants defenders who can get upfield quickly and No-Schott has mentioned high character as being important to him.

Depending on who falls, I agree.

Fully expecting a corner after the first 11 picks shake out. Think they'll prioritize Schwesinger and pivot to Amos once he's taken. I don't think Donovan Ez will be there, and Turner feels like a reach, value wise (lol so they'll probably take him).

Thinking it'll come down to CB vs RB with the former being the more expensive, hence valuable, position
