If we got Burden at 44, I would probably just use the rest of the picks on defense, but look to the 5th comp pick for a guy like Brooks. The Booker pick, to me, devalues RB as a top need. Even though I'd love a top RB too.

Higgins is interesting, the lack of depth in this draft at WR may push a team to draft him high in the 2nd RD.

I know very little about the prospects but I think it will be tough to pass up on the three corners in Johnson, Morrison or Amos. I know a few have injuries but they look legit. I am typically not a high corner guy either.

There are a bunch I would be happy with, but that means they will not be the Cowboys picks. The problem is, after taking OL in the first, they are now desperate for WR and RB. That means a player like Darius Alexander will not be the Cowboys selection.

Well, we do like doing the offense-defense or defense-offense weave. Last year it was offense (Guyton)-defense (Kneeland)-offense (Beebe). The year before it was defense (Mazi)-offense (Schoonmaker)-defense (Overshown). The previous year, offense (Smith)-defense (Williams)-offense (Tolbert). Not since 2021 have we stuck with one side of the ball, when we went defense with the first six picks we made.

I'm thinking Higgins goes pretty quickly at the start of the round. Same with Burden. Either would be a great pick at 44.

So true. I did notice they picked offense in the first two years in a row. They had been alternating those.
