Top Running Backs by draft position

Romo isn't even in the same neighborhood as Brady.

Really? After seeing Romo play last year when he was arguably the best at the position people still, especially on this site of all places, believe this nonsense? Maybe Romo will find an underhanded way to win next year so he can move into Brady's neighborhood?

Romo was better than Brady last year. A bad call and a fumble by a teammate doesn't change that.

I guess Chip Kellly would disagree given what he paid Murray and what he refused to pay McCoy.

Chip is stripping the roster of every player that meant anything to Howie.

Chip is a petulant child.

I'm inclined to agree, but he's still an NFL coach who knows those two very well and threw his lot in with Murray. I'd bet his decision had as much to do with fit as talent, but I'm not so quick to dismiss his opinion as you are.

Jackson, Maclin, McCoy, Foles, Cole, and now he's considering trading Cox and Kelce...it's like he's a Cowboys operative sheep's clothing.

This is a power-crazed fool who is so in love with himself and his system, he cares nothing about the Eagles franchise or fan base.

And I love it.

Its drafting, to be prime pick you have to have measurables and gameeday film to be considered a top talent. But the list is a bit dishonest because odds are you will have more success with lower round picks because their will be more of perceived lower round talent. If you only have 4 1st round talent runners in the 1st and then 4 RB are taken each round later what are the chances all 24 RB from from rounds 2-7 will suck and all 4 from the 1st will not.

I still think we need another option at RB since McFadden is injury prone and no one knows how much tread is left on his tires and the other 3 guys are complementary backs. Anybody who recalls how hard it was to win games without Murray two years ago will tell you the importance of having a bell cow at the position.

By Buffalo, where he was a disappointment.

Lynch made the Pro Bowl team in 2008 as a member of the Bills. Bills may have been disappointed him but then buffalo is a disappointment, maybe because they have made these types of moves

Not based on talent, though. He rushed for 1,000 yards his first two years. He just had "issues" that caused him to get traded from Buffalo. He seems to have gotten his head straight when he got to Seattle.

True and it was CJ Spiller the Bills took in the 1st rd of the 2010 draft 9th overall.

A quote from a story about the trade from Buffalo to Seattle. ...

The deal was made two weeks before the NFL trade deadline, and marks a turnaround in philosophy for the Bills, who said last spring they had no intention of trading him. Lynch had been seeking a fresh start after his reputation in Buffalo took a hit following his off-field troubles.

In June 2008, he pleaded guilty to a traffic violation and admitted to driving off after striking a female pedestrian with his car near Buffalo's downtown bar district.

In March 2009, Lynch pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge in Los Angeles, after police discovered a semiautomatic handgun in a backpack of the trunk of a parked car Lynch was sitting in.

He was suspended three games for the latter incident.
