Two things:Yeah the talent is average at best
1) Fans look only at the skill positions and conclude we're as good as anyone.
2) Fans overrate their own players.

#2 is massively true here for some reasonTwo things:

'Fans are mostly homers for all teams.#2 is massively true here for some reason
Yeah but there is a while different level of delusion here.'Fans are mostly homers for all teams.
Jason Garret had the talent to win a SBThe problem is. The media keeps thinking we have soooo much talent. That is false as hell.
Those "names" look good on back of jerseys though & give media another reason to keep them & the cowboys on their tongues.Yeah but doesn't MSN know that we are doings things SO DIFFERENTLY now in free agency!
I've read here that Jerry is now signing the "has beens" and busts sooner in free agency rather than later......and that's somehow supposed to yield different results.
What a circus!
but they are "Visible" which sells jerseys & hype. What they have is talent in the wrong areas. WRs and TEs and CBs are not what wins super bowls.
We weren't more talented than any NFC playoff team from last year.Dallas had a more talented roster than some other teams that made the playoffs last year. They might not be the eagles but they were definitely in the upper third of the league and at worst the upper half. Their issues are organizational, injuries, and quarterback.
Meh. As usual, w/ Jerry built teams there were gaping holes. The 2016 team, best one he had, severely lacked disruptive players on the DLine. You're quite simply not going to beat playoff caliber QBs w/ that lack of disruption.Jason Garret had the talent to win a SB
Drafting Kelvin/Schooner/Mazi/Sam Williams when we're on the cusp screams incompetence. Were the least competent front office but prior to last years injury debacle we went 12-5 3x. Still pick 12th in what was our worst year imaginable. Yes we need to do more but the media acts like we’re the browns or giants it’s comical.
Yah those picks are haunting us but we also made a few incredible picks prior to last 2 years you can’t ignore that. We also found gems in Turpin and Aubrey. Not blindly defending them they deserve criticism for not being proactive enough but we’re far from the worst front office more like middle of the pack. We get overly criticized for click bait it’s hard to watch espn or anything anymore.Drafting Kelvin/Schooner/Mazi/Sam Williams when we're on the cusp screams incompetence.
Prior to the last 2 years it was Trysten Hill, Taco, Sam Williams, Kelvin Joseph.Yah those picks are haunting us but we also made a few incredible picks prior to last 2 years you can’t ignore that. I thought the same at the time, but looking back, there was never enough invested in the defensive line. One elite rusher isn’t enough. Need depth and also some quality inside.Jason Garret had the talent to win a SB
