Torrin Tucker probably on the outs in Tampa Bay

By the way, if he gets healthy, and some of the wild card offensive tackles don't work out this year, or they get hurt again, anyone game for bringing TT back?

I caught a show the other day on the Discovery channel called the 750 Lb. Man, about a guy so obese he was confined to his bed and could only be weighed using an industrial scale from the local zoo. I would rather stick that guy in the line than resign Tucker.

Looks like the horrid "Turnstyle" Tucker's days are numbered. Too which The Prophet says good riddance. LOL.
The guy was wretched.

considering bill said tucker was holding gurode back i say let him stay far far away

Yeah!

And he referred to himself in the third person all the time too!

(which was really annoying!)

:spanking:

we already have a couple members that do the whole third person bit, it's played out no matter where you go.

the stealth welcomes you to the site though.

now maybe give it a rest

He couldn't play last year, so why even bring him back. Plus, Parcells said that Tucker was one of the reasons that Gurode couldn't concentrate and was a bad influence on him......so lets TT as far away from AG as possible.

I just don't understand this -- what sort of coaching staff do we have if they let one guy throw another one off like that?

not just no but hell no

... guys I'm being serious, he has been by far the worst OLineman in Buc camp this year ... you don't want him. He has apparantly gotten much worse not better if you can imagine that.

NO!

TT's the kind of player who has the physical attributes that guys like Petitti don't. The kind that has range, agility, lateral movement..all those wonderful gifts that separate the elite from the workhorses. The kind that don't have to rely just on technique and smarts..the kind who have the chance for graceful 'footwork' to define their games.

But his development lagged ..why I do not know. Maybe it was poor coaching...but some of the failure to reach what most onlookers saw as high potential has to be on TT.

Stay away, TT. You had your chance(s). :D

Just a small piece for anyone who still follows the Tuck man.

I don't have the link but read in the paper today that the Buccs released QB Jay Fielder, and brought back OT Cornell Green. The move is seen as a signal that Tucker's last days are near as he hasn't been able to practice in preseason yet because of lingering injuries.

Who knows what kind of injuries he would have had in Dallas, but it's looking good that we didn't keep him.

By the way, if he gets healthy, and some of the wild card offensive tackles don't work out this year, or they get hurt again, anyone game for bringing TT back?

No.

We've got 5 tackles we want to keep already.

At least 3 of the tackles we have are already better than him and a fourth is an aging veteran who would be better if completely healthy... which he might be now.

And the 5th is Petitti. And he is PROBABLY better than Tucker too, or at least close.

let's bring Torrin the Terrible back and move him to OG!

Don't let Vintage hear you say that ...he hates Torrin Tucker. But I think it makes perfect sense ...TT knows the offensive playbook, the players and coaches.

It's not like you don't need OL depth.

It's not like a person who knew what they were talking about would consider Torrin Tucker an upgrade.

So if Tucker is all that good, maybe the Eagles can use him. Maybe he can play wide receiver.;)

Actually we don't. We're pretty much OK at guard and at tackle and certainly better off with him gone. In fact, there's been some noise recently about possibly cutting one of our 5 tackles to make roster should we keep a kickoff or return specialist.

Add to that the fact that Parcells says our Center has greatly improved now that his buddy TT is no longer here being a distraction... he ain't coming back.

Just take a little peak on the Buc boards and see what even the most optimistic of Tampa fans have to say about his performance through training camp and the preseason.

He has clearly been their worst OLineman in camp. If it comes down to a team needing Tucker on their line, then that team has alot of losses in it's future and probably a dead QB.

I just bought the 2006 Pro Football Prospectus and in the NFL only 5 tackles were responsible for 8 or more sacks. According to them, 2 of them were Cowboys, Torrin Tucker and Rob Pettitti.
