Torry Holt's Prediction for Defensive Rookie of the Year

He predicted that Jourdan Lewis would be in the running for it. I was shocked and did not expect that prediction. He made the prediction on Sirius XM NFL Radio on the Opening Drive show. He was one of the hosts this morning. He predicted the DROY would be Jourdan Lewis or Damonte Kazee.

Funny because they're both similar players. Maybe Holt likes undersized, scrappy DB's with good ball skills.

Nope. Or at least, I'm not sure, but probably nope. But that's the fun of projecting rookies.

And don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to overhype the guy. This was more me just saying that he's a pet cat from this draft and that I think he's got a shot to be a really good ball-hawking slot CB at the next level. But he hasn't done anything in this league, yet.

But then, this is a thread for predicting rookie performances you're in...

Yeah I don't get this prediction. At BEST he's our nickel corner right? Guys haven't even been assigned positions at corner yet. I honestly think our starters are going to be Brown and Carroll with Scandrick or Chido as the nickel corner.

It would be nice though if these young guys could come in and start for us.

With Lewis getting a ton of reps from Carroll. IMO, Lewis is much more suited for outside where as Awuzie is more of an inside guy

What 4 rookies? Brown and Dak got the start due to injuries. Zeke was the best back in the draft.

I hope this is the case. Lewis is the shortest cornerback on the team isn't he? Seems like his best bet is inside as well.

Dont sleep on Kazee. Dude has incredible ball skills. I can see where Holt is going with his picks. Two DB's he can see coming in and creating turnovers
