What 4 rookies? Brown and Dak got the start due to injuries. Zeke was the best back in the draft.

I think Collins is the other one he's referring to. Making that even more impressive was the fact that he missed so much offseason work with injury.

I hope this is the case. Lewis is the shortest cornerback on the team isn't he? Seems like his best bet is inside as well.

I think he's taller than Scandrick.

If healthy I can see Smith starting.....TApper? Not so much.

Take this for what it's worth, but Spagnola keeps claiming that Tapper had earned a starting job before his back issues last season. If that has any merit, he may be able to do it again this year.

I've heard several Michigan folks say, including Dan Dierdorf, that a lot of Jabril Peppers' big plays were because of Jourdan Lewis.

I think you are the one confused. You replied to me lol. Go back and read from the beginning:
Guess you can't comprehend when reading so keys try this again. Where did I say at any point that Lewis would be the best corner........again go back and read, try to understand what was said

I will like sharing Cowboys fandom with others so much more when the Romo debates lurk only in those offseason Danny White comparisons, reemerging only because we have nothing else to talk about.

Sometimes, it's easy to tell who never watched Staubach nor Aikman. Sometimes, it's easy to tell who never watched or forgot Hogeboom, Henson, and Carter.

Yeah I don't get this prediction. At BEST he's our nickel corner right? Guys haven't even been assigned positions at corner yet. I honestly think our starters are going to be Brown and Carroll with Scandrick or Chido as the nickel corner.

It would be nice though if these young guys could come in and start for us.
Have you seen how bad the Cowboys are at covering the slot? If he's great at that then that goes a long way to fixing the defense.

I mean, based on what I've seen of him, I could see Lewis grabbing some picks and if he got like 5 or 6 somehow he would definitely end up in the running for DROY, but the favorite for DROY is obviously Myles Garrett. Silly to even suggest otherwise.

This says to me that Holt thinks Lewis is going to have a good career in the NFL.....DROY of the year I don't know only due to possible playing time.

I think Awuzie and Lewis will be our two best corners this year. I see Brown being more like Hitchens - a reliable player who can start if needed who impressed as a rookie because there were no expectations for him.

I was thinking the other day about guys I think have the possibility of being genuine impact players on defense for us this season, and Lewis was one of the few names I came up with. Byron Jones, Sean Less (he is already), Jaylon Smith (unlikely, but he's got that kind of athleticism), and Irving were the others. And in Lewis' case, I'll admit I was basing it almost entirely off of the short vide we'd posted of him covering and catching this week. He's pretty impressive.

There are many of those who have studied Lewis' career closely and believe he was the best coverage CB to be had in the 2017 draft.

I think you're 100% right about Lewis and Awuzie, although I'm glad to give Brown a chance to prove he's as good as he seemed last year. :)

I just can't emphasize enough how incredibly well I think we did in accumulating the excellent secondary personnel that we drafted this year.

It would be pretty tough for a pair of nickel corners to get that kind of consideration.
Situation often dictates the award. Some rookies are going to get limited playing time regardless of performance. Other will start but it will be on a bad team minimizing their chance to succeed.

Finally, some will be great AND be in a perfect situation (i.e. Dak with great OL/RB and experienced WRs/TE.)
