It just seems extremely weird to me that a fan of a football team would start tracking the owner, or the teams players, or whatever. That goes beyond being a fan, IMO.
But to each their own.
You're right, it is going beyond being a fan, it's called being a diehard fan, wanting to get the scoop before it's released. I remember tracking it online, it's not as if it took a lot. You type in a couple numbers and TADA!
If you think that's creepy, not sure what to tell you. Personally, I thought it was neat and really cool we could track his private plane during the free agency season, and we actually had a few predictions as to who we were signing before the media even mentioned them.
What's creepier? People reporting on Tony Romo's vacations and love life non-stop, or tracking the plane of an owner to find out possible free agents we would be signing? If you think the latter, get your head checked.
Either way, I don't care.. I'll rightfully admit I have an obsession with the team, it's not as if I was tracking the plane down and then driving cross country to go find him. If you think that's creepy, so be it.. I'm not pompous nor do I tout myself, but maybe you just aren't as big of a fan as some of us.
Edit: Hell, I think it's creepier to watch videos of Keith Davis' birthday party (post on front page) than it is to track down Jerry's plane. As you said, "to each their own", but I'm not sure if it's possible for me to disagree with you anymore than I do.
