The Raiders would trade Adams for a number 2 if we offered it, but then again Adams would need a QB to get him the ball if he had a star on his helmet. All of the Cowboy's problems center around WENTZ 2.0 being our QB...................LOL!
Poor Carson Wentz. Wonder what he’s doing now. He is the epitome of persona non grata to NFL teams. Weird thing is when this season started there were only 11 quarterbacks in the league that had thrown more TD passes than him since 2017. At least he’s not out there saying there are not 32 quarterbacks in the world better than he is.

Schoonmaker, Sam Williams, Joseph, Diggs, T Hill, Connor Williams, Awuzie, Jaylon Smith, Randy Gregory. What's the batting average on that?
Ugh. That's well below the Mendoza line, for sure.
Essentially 1 in 9. Yikes!

There are no trades that could help this team anymore than giving them depth.

Yep, we wasted the pick on Mazi. It’s not like Hankins is breaking the bank and could play a few more years. Meanwhile, Osa is going to need a new contract and he is now becoming the DT we needed. Could’ve had a CB, TE LaPorta, LB Nolan Smith….
He's being used effectively at present. Is he fully developed, no...and that wasn't expected nor forced into initial development expectations. No premature disjointed in a beginning 1-2 top of draft origin. This is a defensive tackle and already had enough talent to warrant a trend changing selection where he was taken.

These are young men and require development...that's all,

Yeah because I'm guessing you are really glad we have Schoonmaker.
Oh he will prove out over time. His realistic development time to fully function is one to two seasons. Jason Witten wasn't all of a suddenly an All Pro....and talking about a 2nd round pick. What about Sean Lee, was he a tad useful...there is quite a bit of value taken in Dallas second round draft picks over the past ten years.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Derrick Henry ends up here
I would be borderline shocked if we traded for him. He’s only had one 100 yard game this season, and the Cowboys rushing attack ranks 9 spots higher than Tennessee. Henry has a lot of mileage on him and is pushing 30. Plus he’s the third highest paid RB in the league making $12.5 million per season. The Cowboys are done paying that kind of money to an RB.

I would have to say that getting Davante Adams could move the needle. Cooks and Gallup are AWOL.

It immediately takes heat off CeeDee and an improved passing threat should open up the running game. Defenses are now just doubling CeeDee and loading up close to the line of scrimmage which results in our offensive line not opening lanes.

Short of a move like this, our offense will remain solidly mediocre.

Youd pay him $6.3 for the rest of the year and can negotiate his next deal

“Henry is making $10.5 million, all base salary, during the 2023 season. The remainder of his base salary after Week 8 is $5,833,333. Henry also has a $500,000 incentive for 1,300 or more rushing yards that's classified as likely to be earned because he had 1,538 yards on the ground last season. The total cap room needed to acquire Henry because of this incentive is $6,333,333. “

he does have a point though, jerry will waste it anyway gambling on a drug addict or injured player.
Jerry feeds opportunity.

Achievement depends upon actual commitment upon entrance into the NFL. These are potential professionals. All have to earn from that point...but have demonstrated already, a level of ability and talent. That is not in question.

That involves talent scouts at present, and they are considered to be top of the line in both draftable and current players. Not a single doubt upon that specific status.

I think that I would trust their opinion.

Usually at the 2nd round level, if there is gambling involved, it is related to prior injury and high talent.

There is that in the current cap now.

Save that 2nd rounder for our next franchise RB. That’s where you get the special ones now.

Easier said than done and he’s going to be 30 in January. He has a ton of mileage on him and it’s not like he’s led Tennessee to championships. It would be a big mistake using a premium draft pick on an aging RB. The times Tennessee made it to the playoffs real good teams have been able to contain him. We’re not going to be road grading San Francisco and Philly with him. Plus we’ve had issues on the OL.

Make some trades that’s what. Or be lazy and do nothing. Barely make playoffs and get bounced early. While eagles go back to superbowl and let them keep making moves.
you said trade a 2nd round for any player....that's dumb. sorry to inform you. Eagles just traded a 5th rounder. we got a 5th rounder for Cooper. seriously.

Normally, I would be adamantly opposed. However, we are talking about the 2nd round pick.

Thy could probably afford to lose out on the next Sam Williams, Kelvin Joseph, Trystan Hill, Jaylon Smith, Randy Gregory.....

It would be different if Jerry could use a second round pick effectively
