Trade back for Lawson and then back up for Lynch?

Just me or does this seem like the ideal scenario for Jerry and crew? Not saying it's going to happen because trying to pull off 2 trades for 2 specific players is extremely difficult, but it really does seem like the near perfect scenario for us.

Trade back to 7 for the 9ers 2nd
Trade our 2nd and 3rd to get back into the 20-25 range

1st- Lawson DE Clemson
1st- Lynch QB Memphis
2nd- Joseph S W Virginia
4th- Murray CB Minnesota
4thC- Deep threat WR or future RB

No offense intend to you at all, but I think that any 'plan' that would require such variables to occur to be successful is a poor one.

I clearly stated that in the OP. Reading comprehension is your friend

I truly think that this year the FO has really done its homework on the draft and are preparing for anything that can happen in conjunction with their board/needs in the draft.

They know they need some difference makers on the top part of the draft and seem to be visiting with the prospects that should be there at the positions they require.

I don't think we're looking to move up with that 4th pick but if the right player off our board that fits a serious need shows up pick 20 down, we're probably ready to handle our business.

Simply, it looks like we have an action and reaction plan for those 1st 2 rounds.

That's the way it should be.

I think Lynch might be rated much higher on our boardthan what the draftniks have in their mock drafts.

We could just trade back to 7 and pick Lynch and keep the other second rounder. I'm cool with Lynch at 7. The niners second rounder is a great position

If we like him that much why not trade again with the Dolphins so they can go after Zeke or Treadwell and we can get Lynch and another pick? I know it's tough to do but if this is all about getting Lynch, to do all of this is a tough task to begin with.

I think this team is looking for a "now" impact player unless 1 of those 2 QB's they may like are there.

I don't think they see Bosa being much better than Lawson.

I do believe they will be more than happy with Ramsey and especially the QB they like which is apparently Wentz. I prefer Goff and we don't know, the FO might as well.

So in saying all of this. If we don't get Ramsey or the QB we prefer, I believe the FO is definitely willing to trade down and get 1 of their next 3 targets.

May it be Elliott, Hargreaves or Lawson. Maybe Bosa falls to 7, they see that and take him there while gathering more picks. Maybe they're happy with Buckner in the lower part of the top 10.

There's 2 players they want at 4 and if they don't get them they will trade down. That I believe is their plan. It's a good 1 if it is.

I don't know that I can see Lynch getting past 15 if he's still on the board for pick 14 we might get up there - that'd take both our seconds and maybe a later round pick

If Lynch is our guy (I hope he's not, but what do I know?) then we shouldn't get cute. He should be the first guy we pick, whether that's at 4, 7, or later on.

Based on what? If the average fan is picking up on their intentions - we're screwed.

based on our interest for him from the very beginning,it seems that one guy we are zeroed in on apart from the Wentz hype in the senior bowl.heck most of FO went to work him out in Florida and that was before the the VR visit.you dont do that unless you are serious about a prospect.

What "interest"? Not trying to be a jerk, but am looking for specifics. We've had multiple points of interaction with multiple prospects coming in for official visits.

On Wednesday, the Memphis quarterback had a private workout in front of the team's head executives — Jerry Jones,Stephen Jones and Will McClay. And per NFL insider Rand Getlin, the Orlando event went so well that the two sides are expected to meet again prior to the draft in April.

I really think they have a Real interest in him,if i was to guess they dont want to draft him at 4 but will in a trade down situation.

The exact same FO people had the exact same visits with Wentz, Goff, Hakenberg and Prescott, among others.

Those guys will not be franchise QB,I wouldnt even waste a draft pick on them .If they pass on the top 3 Qbs then they should pass on all of them.

I had a feeling your statement had more do to with what you want to happen than any objective evidence pointing to Lynch. No problem with that. Just thought maybe you read something I didn't.

ITs all subjective on this board,we have some evidence on our FO doing their due diligence on most QBs,that tells me that they want to draft a QB .now i want them to draft our next Franchise QBs and not waste time with limited talented ones who will never amount to anything.
