Trade back for more picks?

We are probably going to pick around #15 for our pick and say #22 for the packer pick

This draft has few real blue chippers and none of them are going to fall to our first pick and our second pick is all but second rd as well

So trading back for 2nd and 3rd rd picks IF WE CAN FIND SOMEONE TO DO IT WITH seems a possible tactic

Honestly I would not really have a problem trading out of the first rd all together
the difference between mid second rd and where we are picking is not great

we need real good players and all we can get

NOW I am predicating ALL OF THIS on Natural Gas Man and Bluto Jr doing the usual yacht trip rather then go after quality FA's''

the asteroid could strike and they actually do something but I doubt it

Not opposed to it at all...this class has zero blue chip players and is pretty weak at the top.

The problem is for that reason it will likely be hard to find a trade partner to get a good deal.

Like I said, finding trading partners will be tough; especially I am thinking our second pick

I think we have a decent shot at getting something for our first one but things might just not work out

I kind of doubt my opinion on the first rd is unique

I would rather trade up and get one difference maker than trade back and end up with 3 average starters. It's obvious to me that there are a few players every draft that make those around them better. If trading up is not an option then just take the 2 best players available in the first rd and hope to hit on a diamond in the rough or two in the later rounds.

That is the issue, why trade up if there isn't a blue chip talent available?

Won't be easy to find a trading partner, maybe if there's a QB someone wants.

But if there's a 1st round graded player on your board with the 2nd pick, you don't trade back. And if not, more than likely, the value to trade just won't be there.

I think a trade back is possible, but it wont be out of the 1st. can see someone jumping up a few spots to nab a Olineman and maybe we pick up an additional 4th+future late pick.

I would like to see a weak team looking to move back into the first willing to give up their 2026 2nd and 2027 1st. I would go into every draft hoping to find this type of trade. A little delayed gratification but the best way to end up with premium picks when you are a middle of the pack team like us that is never quite bad enough to get a premium pick.

The Pats did that quite well for a long time stockpiling picks. But then when you do not have to go after a QB for 20 years that helps.

Reese is a blue-chip player worth moving up for. I would rather get one stud over three question marks. That won’t happen but I can dream.

We did it one year but were a little unlucky. We traded with Cleveland (always a premium pick) except for the year we had theirs.

I remember that trade we had with cleveland and we wee all counting on a top ten pick and then for the only year in like 25 they made the playoffs.

we would need both of ours to get him and maybe more
as good as he is no one should trade two first rd picks for anyone but a QB or top pass rusher

The Notre Dame RB is blue chip but he's not falling to us and I don't think anyone would trade up for him anyway.
