Trade back from 28 could happen

This draft is so strong. To give you an idea, on the CBS board Adoree' Jackson is now ranked 57 and Jordan Willis is ranked 81. These two guys are probably two players that the Cowboys are considering. Some players are going to be on the board at 28 that teams will trade up for. For example a player like McCaffrey could be there. Just an example, but there certainly will be players that teams will trade up for and give the Cowboys an extra pick to trade back. The Cowboys could hit gold with the strong cb, safety, wr, and te class and possibly slip their pass rusher in there. It would be sweet if they could trade back and get Willis and all of the positions that I mentioned.

This is a great draft to have extra picks to work with. There's going to be playmakers even in the third round.

Really helps being at the back end too for those teams that want the coveted 5th year option. I could see a trade up from a team just outside the first. Of course, everyone wants to trade back...especially this draft.

Teams that will trade up are teams with a lot of picks. Teams like Denver and Cleveland.

I would love to trade down with Cleveland. I feel like we could get a top flight corner at 33 and get a talented edge guy at 60 along with whatever pick they give us.

I'd be tempted to take Willis at 33 and a safety and corner at 60 and 65.

I wouldn't. Willis def wouldn't be close to BPA in my opinion. I still haven't seen any impressive tape on him. I'd rather take Basham or rivers at 60 over him at 33.
Big 12 defensive player of the year. 21 sacks in 2 years. There is some video evidence out there somewhere.

I'm tempted to take Willis because there are plenty of good corners and safeties. Not so much for defensive ends at all.

I don't think you're getting 33 and 65. There's not a huge point difference between 28 and 33. It's actually valued almost exactly to Clevelands 33 and 108, so that's what you should expect to get.

If you want a 3rd, you're probably looking at a drop to the early-mid 40's going by the chart. Something along the lines of Buffalos 44th and 75th for 28. That's a long way to drop.

I'd take their 4th instead of their third no problem.

I agree with lots of talent at DB, but the tier will drop off, I think BPA will be a CB at our pick in rd 1. Maybe Sidney Jones, Gareon Conley, Chidobe Awuzie, and two of the teams behind us have duplicate needs as the cowboys.

After the FA period I want to go after the better safety. Not that pressure isn't a big need but we have experienced mediocre DE's not so much at safety

While McClay and staff has improved our overall drafting, Jerry is still the guy who makes trades...and he almost always loses on trades (more so when trading up). I'd rather stand pat and hope McClay and Stephen win the argument on who we take.

I dont see it happening. Cowboys value the 5th year option too much
Well, they still need at least one corner, a safety, a de, and a wr for sure and a possible te. They need players on the field now.

They will replacing the guys they lost in two weeks. They always try to avoid going into the draft with a critical. You will most likely see them sign a CB, Safety and WR, and probably an DE
