Where's the QB? It's the most deficient position on our roster.

I would puke. That's a special teams draft for a team that needs playmakers on D.

I'd rather trade UP this year.

This is absolutely a trade up draft.

4th round and down looks very JAG'ish.

Although it's hardly a perfect science and there are always opportunities. This just feels like a very top-heavy draft.

I understand the sentiment, but this team is top heavy. The players and depth that everyone thought we were going to have throughout this season was lackluster. When a single injury to a key position alters the entire game plan; it becomes a problem. Right now besides the O-line the players that will most likely be coming back are insufficient as a support group to the starters. We blew the youth movement low price window with the QB and now everyone is being paid. This hinders the teams ability to sign stopgap free agents and enhances the need for a solid draft class. When you trade up and land a great building block player and that player gets hurt or you just miss evaluate the guys potential, which happens routinely. You stymie your adaptability in a game/season. I think strengthening the overall core of the team before adding star potential is a greater need at the moment. The amount of change forthcoming with massive contracts and coaching changes will make adding a larger draft class with plenty of good 2nd and 3rd round talent worth while in the long run.

Good FA QB's nick foles, andy dalton, blake bortles, derek carr, marcus mariota plenty of good qb's you can have as a backup on a 2 yr deal, they can't expect to start anymore for most teams in the nfl but are also a substantial upgrade over Cooper Rush and Clayton Thorson... any of these guys get signed I feel good with Dak as starter backup being one of them and practice squad Clayton Thorson or Rush if he doesn't feel like he is above that role.

I get what you are saying but I feel like with his draft there isn't a huge discrepancy in 4th round guys and UDFA guys.

Boise State guy probably happens. The FO cant resist even when they should.

I agree even if they don't draft Curtis Weaver or Ezra Cleveland expect them to pick up a couple UDFA's from Boise. John Molchon OL, Nawahine S, David MOA 3 tech, Lui 1 tech, John Hightower WR, and they already signed a future spring practice guy in Marcus Henry C/OG for camp... I wouldn't mind seeing Molchon, Lui and Hightower in camp though, they got some potential.
