Broaddus and Fisher both reporting the cowboys are talking to teams at the end of the 1st to see if they can move up for one of these QB's so they can get the 5th year option on one of them.

Is it worth giving up our 3rd or 4th pick in order to move a few spots for one of these kids? The only way I am OK with it is if it's for Paxton Lynch. Trading up for Cook or Hackenburg is just crazy IMO.

But honestly I don't think I would be happy either way. Friday will be a LONG night with no draft picks. What do u guys think?

No because our fourth is essentially like a late third, no thanks.

Besides they claim they are not looking for an heir apparent only a Romo back up, so why the 5th year option in this case?

I don't understand the logic behind this at all

There aren't any QBs worth a first round pick...let alone trading up for one other than Lynch...and he won't be available

Many insiders seem to think he will slip out of the first round.

If it happens, I think it may be a small trade up at the end of the first for Cook. I don't know if exchanging 3rd round picks with Carolina gets you there value wise.

i'm experiencing deja vu as if it were only yesterday.... :)

so again, i can't see us doing this unless a player is falling. we'd be arse nugget stupid to trade for a pick before knowing the player we're targeting would be there.

so i guess we will then.

If it's for Lynch...who I like...I will be fine w moving up for him

He's a great project to draft...really talented...pretty dumb..hopefully 3 years or so is enough time for him to learn

I think it is just due diligence and case a player that want starts to slide.

that's all it can be. see if someone would be willing, if the scenario was right, to swap around. if so, and things line up, we make the move. they weren't looking for a trade NOW i imagine, just poking around where they thought they'd need to be for a targeted player and checking cost.

Agreed and exactly what they should be doing.

There was supposed to be a smiley after the question to indicate a bit of mischief. Can you imagine the reaction if he's the target?

Depends on the target area, people are assuming they would move back into the 1st for Lynch, could be for one of the D linemen.

Dak in the 4th would not make me crazy if they believe he has development potential.
