TRADED Trade: Cowboys acquire Dee Winters

Also, they drafted Nick Martin in the 3rd round last year.

And I'm sure Philly is banking on that being the problem since he had 12-plus sacks in back-to-back seasons before that. Kind of like the Eagles were counting on Phillips being better than he had been playing in Miami last year, and he was.

I don't like the move because Philly has a tough defense, so I'd prefer to weaken it. Instead, they at least keep in status quo.

Agree. Don't confuse my comment with thinking James will never be a player. I like the kid and think he needs some coaching and time to grow into what he may become. He wasn't ready to play last year and if not for our horrendous roster building wouldn't have seen the field anywhere near what he did year one and honestly barely at all. My point was just that I didn't think he steadily improved throughout the year. I actually thought there was a point earlier on where he started to get a bunch of snaps and played his best and then his warts showed as he just ran to the ball.

Wow yeah….agree. I go Wire by a hair though, but you’re debating Mays vs Mantle at that point.

It took me a little while to fully appreciate Sopranos. Many fans felt disappointed along the way because they wanted/expected to see a new Goodfellas every Sunday. It wasnt about that, just happened to be his occupation!

I may have gotten a little ahead of myself. I just got done reading an article that graded both the Cowboys and 9ers on this trade and the Boys got a solid A and the 9ers got a C+.
Dee Winters recorded 101 total tackles (67 solo) for the San Francisco 49ers in the 2025 NFL season Yahoo Sports+1.

In that year, Winters started 17 games, playing a career-high 1,010 defensive snaps, and also added one interception National Day Today. His performance was notable because he stepped into a larger starting role after Dre Greenlaw’s departure to the Denver Broncos, making him the team’s leading tackler that season Yahoo Sports.

Ahh ok yeah not gonna lie I know nothing about him. But this write up is consistent with what I’ve read. Good fast linebacker who knows where to be. Productive. Young. He seems to be in the same vein as our other free agents like Thompson and Durant. Not great but productive. I don’t know if this approach is gonna work but it at least raises the talent level.

From everything I read they traded him now whether than let him walk for a comp pick.

GOT first 6 seasons are my favorite TV show of all time.

Then season 7 was good. But not great. Season 8 was a disaster. An absolute disaster. Such a shame.

Because of that. Sopranos is my favorite and the wire is #2 breaking bad is 3.
