Dallas is holding to make sure Thomas will sign new deal long term

even if its true im not sure im willing to give my 2 if ET still wants a ridiculous contract in years and cost..it all sounds good but having more again high contract players just doesn't sit right with me..id roll with it if it happens but not be foaming at the mouth..

The way I see it, we are pretty bad selecting quality in the 2nd rd, atleast this way it would be for a proven player still playing at a high level.....plus would be a good player that could possibly be looked up to by our younger players.

Seattle has no 2nd or 3rd round pick, so I agree, probably no deal. I would have said yes to Thomas for the 50 pick if Seattle gave us their 3rd in the deal- if they had one.

idk second rounder on a 29 yr old safety that couldn't stay healthy the last 2 years. Health isn't going to get better with age. And he is looking for another big contract. I mean I want Earl Thomas but man 29 yrs old and often injured now is a tough one. What deal would we give him a 5 year deal? Could he still play at a probowl/All pro level for 5 years? Tough decision. Either way i hope it works out in our favor lol.

And can most likely play this year. Of course, he learns we've traded for him, he'll get all smoked up, tear his Achilles stepping off the curb and slap the nurse at the hospital. He'll be able to play in 2020.
