Trade for LG?

He can be dominant at LT too .. which generally is a more difficult position to find than LG,
and a more demanding position than OG.

I agree that Tyler can be dominant at LT.

One day.

He would be dominant at LG right now.

Which position is more demanding ?
Which position is needed most right now with us LT or LG ?
We need an effective LT now with Tyron's end likely -the game experience rookie Tyler is getting now is vastly critical.

- i'm for keep trying to acquire that dominant LG in the draft -despite failure of the past two Conners.
- Stephen is not gonna pursue a vet FA guard in free agency.

I think it’s an economics issue. Teams are talent poor on O line in general, so a LG is likely going to require premium capital to acquire, and replacing quality OL is hard, because frankly there are alot of busts on OL in the draft

I’d rather trade for a 1T or some position that teams seem to undervalue….of course last week I would’ve told you RB was that kind of position but McCaffrey proves me wrong….

Sure, lots of teams have young, proven left guards that they are looking to unload.

While we are at it, why dont we trade for Allen or Mahomes while we are at it. Im sure either team would jump on a 1st and 2nd rd pick in the 2032 draft.
:muttley: sarcasm much :)

Yes a trade will be nice but who are they trading for that is available for a trade. Trades mid-season are usually when you over pay. Is there anyone that is head and shoulders better than anyone that is playing a lot of snaps. Trading draft capital for someone that is marginally better than what they currently have playing is dumb. You trade for highly proven top tier talent not for hole fillers.

With all these trade ideas, I was wondering why no one brought this up. If Dallas was going to go all in for this year I would like to see a trade for a young proven left guard. Are there any potential teams that are tanking that could facilitate this trade. I would much rather solidify this weakspot than trade for a wr or a dt.

McGovern has playing well this year.
In fact, the whole line is playing well compared the vast majority of the league.. Steele might even be outplaying Martin....at least through 6 games anyway

All this whining about the o-line earlier and it appears they DID make the right moves.

OL are problem areas with most teams around the league. Not just Dallas. Bad teams are not gonna discard a very good LG still on rookie deal, and knowing that to rebuild they have to start at OL and DL. Skill position players are where you begin to unload.

OL for their lack name recognition and how they are overlooked hardly ever get traded. They are so valuable to team success that they hardly ever get traded mid season...even during the off-season. Big men make the NFL great.
That being said I hope they try to get a big fat mean and ugly DT personally. Lol
