Trade Orton for a late round pick to the Rams, he's as good as gone after this year anyway...
The thing about aged, journeyman quarterbacks like Orton is that they are usually much more valuable to their current team than any other because (1) they do not have franchise potential and (2) they are completely familiar with their current team's offense.
But there is a reason why the Rams have looked at Favre and Tebow: they wouldn't have to give up anything to get them, other than money.
The Rams will not likely give up future draft picks for someone like Orton. Their season is over. They are looking to the future. Probably looking for another franchise QB once Bradford leaves. It doesn't make sense to give up part of their future to get someone like Orton. Even if a tiny piece of their future. They are going to need all the draft picks they can get.
You mean a blue chip QB like Jake Locker, Blaine Gabbert, or Christian Ponder? The 3 blue chip 1st round QBs in the 2010 draft?Trade Romo for a high #1 and draft a blue chip.

Jake Locker does not belong in that sentence.

Where has it been reported that the Rams, or anybody has inquired about Tebow? Tebow would be all over that if so.
Because they think they can get somebody better without sacrificing draft picks. They are probably just looking for a backup anyway. They are likely sticking with whoever is starting this week no matter who they pick up.Then why don't they just roll with whoever their back-up is?
Alright so the plan is to trade Romo and risk getting the next Blaine Gabbert for the chance at getting the next Jake Locker. Brilliant.Have you actually watched Locker lately? When healthy, the guy looks a lot better than he has in the past.
