Still get a first round pick and maybe even a second. With our schedule we have an excellent chance of missing the playoffs. Romo is getting old and our O-line needs improvement.

We would basically be giving up on the season but would gain a first rounder for an undrafted player. The NFL has some very strong teams this year and the odds of the Cowboys winning 8 games seems unrealistic. Jerry needs to pull the trigger before the trade deadline.

Jets, Raiders and Chiefs would probably be the only ones willing to trade for him and I don't even know if they could take the cap hit.

I believe in moving on from Romo when his contract is done but right now it would be one, giving up the season and two, very difficult to find a buyer that would be willing to give up a first round pick..

Yeah, because it's that simple. Especially a QB with only 1 more year.

Either way simple or not...we won't do it.

Unless Romo showed signs he will not resign or does not want to be here.

I do believe if we get a ton of the pieces we want through FA next season, we could draft a QB in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Why dont we trade Ware also..........if we are going the rookie QB route, by the time we are a playoff contender Ware will be told old.

Seriously, I am not joking, if we are going to go full rebuild mode then guys like Ware and Witten need to go as well as Romo.

interested? Maybe so.. like The Cards but they're not likely to make a move in season to upset team chemistry. most other teams either have their QB or they have a young QB that they drafted and believe in.

there is also no way in hell we'd trade Romo to the Eagles.

The one thing that gives a rookie QB confidence is a solid defense. Our Defense is solid this year. I feel bad for these guys. But not sure I would trade Ware. He will end up in the HOF. He is the only player on this team that currently has lived up to HOF status.

Well, i do believe we need to blow this team and rebuild it around the young people we have.
Ware, Witten and Romo deserve to go to a Superbowl contender before their careers end, i also wouldnt complain on adding first picks to keep building through them.

I would hate watching Ware leave, the hardest of those three to replace.

Witten is a Hall of Famer.

I agree, but he is a tight end and a Dallas Cowboy. That said. Not sure if the committee would ever select him.

The only reason Jerry won't blow this team up is because he needs to sell tickets.

Unfortunately Jerry doesn't care who buys these tickets as long as the stadium is filled. If the Cowboys are rebuilding no one wants to go and watch them.

So instead Jerry will sell us on hope and put the same mediocre product out there as long as we continue to buy into it.

Cowboy fans or not.....

We don't have a 12th man.....might as well invite opposing team fans.

He's a Hall of Famer. He'll get in 1st ballot.

How often to you see ANY team getting rid, by way of trade, of their best player(s) in order to "regroup?"

I think the best course of action is to solidify a young, studly OL while Romo is still at the helm. A rookie QB needs a solid OL or he has no chance.

Once the OL is solidified with 5 "mama killers", then we can think about moving on beyond Romo.

Since solidifying a Safety since Woody left has taken 8 years and counting, I'm not going to hold my breath.

I don't think you're going to get a lot of help or support if u want to "blow" the team, but u go get em tiger.:D
