No Indy was scared that Peyton was done after his surgery. If Peyton would have been healthy going into the season they never would have took the gamble. As it turned out it worked out well for all involved.

i disagree...with the #1 pick there is no way they were gonna pass on andrew luck. even if peyton was showing to be healthy. you dont build teams by hanging onto people. gotta know when to move on.

Even if it meant sitting him for 4 seasons and picking up his option in year 5 (garuntees him a top 10 salary at position) with out seeing him play, Indy was taking Luck, and not doing so would have gone down as one of the all time biggest mistakes in the history of the NFL.
